Glamping in the Mountains

Winterized canvas tent tucked into the forest with a mountain view. Plan your adventurous escape at this glamping retreat! We are only a few minutes walk to the 50 km Slocan River Rail Trail - excellent for walking and biking while enjoying beautiful views. Retreat from the noisy bustle of the city and relax in nature! Guests should bring their own camping gear such as cook stove/bbq, flashlights, sleeping bag (we do provide pillows and quilt along with wool blankets). This 10 x 12 foot canvas wall tent is set up on a platform. It includes a bed, wood stove, basic cookware provided but guests should come with their own camp cookware. Fully off-grid, there is a bucket compost outhouse beside the tent. The tent is located on the lower field of our property nestled into the forest and guests are free to explore the lower property. Parking is available in the field near the tent. You'll be able to enjoy the field space which will be farmed this spring and summer as well as the forest and creek. We are also a very short distance to "downtown" Winlaw where you'll find a few stores, post office and restaurant. We are a short walk to the 50km Slocan Rail Trail for hiking, biking and skiing as well as a short walk to Winlaw. There are a few shops and a cafe in Winlaw for supplies and for a larger grocery store, cafe and cell coverage drive 15 minutes north to the city of Slocan. The tent is a short walk to "downtown" Winlaw where you'll find a few shops, gas station and post office as well as a neighbourhood restaurant. We're a few minutes walk to the Rail Trail (just across the highway) - we're at about mid-point of the 50KM trail. We are happy to get a fire started for you prior to your arrival and we will provide some bottled water for drinking.
