Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. Situated above the village of Llangenny with direct walking access to the Sugarloaf and the Black Mountains. Totally self contained, well equipped self-catering accommodation in the upper part of our converted old barn. 2 bedrooms, sitting room/ kitchen diner, bathroom and your own private outside seating area. 5 mins drive to Crickhowell and 10mins to Abergavenny. Fantastic village pub within walking distance (steep hill on the way back !!) 2 bedrooms, 1 with double bed, 1 with twin beds. Kitchen with electric cooker, larder fridge with small ice box, microwave, kettle and toaster. Bath with handheld shower. We have no mains water or gas, so heating is night storage heaters and a gas pot belly stove. We have our own private water supply which is tested and inspected in accordance with regulations. It comes from a bore hole and is pumped up to the barn. It is obviously spring water, so is delicious to drink . Mobile phone signal is good. We have WiFi, but due to our location it’s limited and can be unreliable, so please don’t rely on it. There is a TV with incorporated DVD player, a selection of DVD,s books and board games . If you own a fire stick, the TV is compatible with this , but is obviously reliant on the WiFi . Private decking area with seating and charcoal bbq is available . A car is essential .We are in the country, so access up to the property is on paved but narrow roads, with a height and width restriction on our drive (This means that it’s not suitable for high sided vehicles eg. camper / transit vans - see photo ). Parking Space for 2 cars. The road up from the village to our property is steep and quite narrow We have the same postcode as some of the houses in the village, so Sat Nav will only take you as far as the bridge in the village of Llangenny, then you will have to follow directions. Access to the property itself is via steps (see photo) Because of limited access, I’m afraid on-line grocery deliveries are not possible . Walking is possible directly from the property to Sugarloaf and the surrounding Black Mountains. Despite our idyllic rural location, we are only 10mins drive from the pretty market town of Abergavenny where there are Waitrose, Morrisons and Aldi supermarkets and 5mins drive from the picturesque town of Crickhowell with its award winning high street, comprising lots of small independent shops . Always contactable by phone, if not around Located in the hills above the village of Llangenny . Within walking distance to the village pub, but a steep climb back up the hill ! Perfect location for exploring the Brecon Beacons. Walking access to Sugarloaf directly from the property. Close to Abergavenny and the picturesque town of Crickhowell , with its independent high street shops. A car is essential . We are located above the village of Llangenny up a narrow steep road Access to our property is not suitable for large vans / camper vans Parking space for two cars Towels and bed linen and loo paper and soap are provided . In the kitchen, washing up liquid, condiments, oil and kitchen roll are provided.
