We have 3 double bedrooms at Middle Farm Cottage. Upstairs in the old cottage, the Blue & Rose Rooms share the same bathroom. These 2 rooms are therefore only let to the same party - friends travelling together, or they make a nice 'suite' for a family. The Rose Room single occupancy is £75 p.n. - please message us for this rate. Our Garden Room downstairs is more independent: www.airbnb.co.uk/rooms/ (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) Dinder is a quiet farming village which once supported 5 farms, including Higher, Middle and Lower Farms in the village itself. David's grandmother bought the two cottages in the (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) s, and the combined house was modernised again in (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) Bedrooms are traditional, peaceful and comfortable. Through traffic is minimal - horses being walked to their paddock, the occasional tractor, and the hourly bus into Wells. The statue of the Cardinal in the little gothic window was made especially for my grandmother by a member of the Clark family who lived in Dinder. He preferred life as a sculptor to working for the family shoe business! We live at Middle Farm Cottage, so we can be on hand to help with any queries, but we are equally happy to give you your own space. Dinder is tucked at the foot of the Mendip Hills, and offers excellent walks into Wells either along the valley of the River Sheppey or over the hills. Wells is a gem, the smallest cathedral city in England, and boasts the stunning Cathedral, Vicars' Close (the oldest inhabited street in Europe) and the Bishop's Palace. Don't miss the market, every Wednesday and Saturday, when the Square really comes to life! Parking on the street directly outside our cottage is easy, and there is an hourly bus to and from Wells. Alternatively, you can walk into Wells (we can lend you wellies), past WW2 defences that were never removed, across the fields and through King's Castle Wood. Enjoy refreshments at any of a dozen pubs, and then take the bus back to Dinder. Further afield, Wookey Hole Caves are just the other side of Wells, Cheddar Gorge & Caves further along the Mendips, Bath and Bristol are 30' drive away, and there is outlet shopping to be had at Clarks Village in Street, or Kilver Court and Mulberry both in Shepton Mallet.
