A spacious 2 Bedroom house on a 10 acre farm with uninterrupted ocean views and a deck for whale watching. Pick fruits when in season, pet animals, explore the farm or get adventurous & explore many waterfalls & swimming holes around the property. Yoga & massage services also provided. Walk 5 min to Papaaloa Store and Cafe for food, drinks n live music. 30 min from Hilo airport. NOTE: The house has cats living in it. Please do not book if you are allergic to cats. Aloha and welcome to our gorgeous 10 acre farm on the historic Hamakua Coast of Hawaii. Your chance to stay and connect with the grounds on the sacred Mauna Kea. THE FARM Farm life in Hawaii is one of the most peaceful and beautiful experiences. Our farm is located on the slopes of Mauna Kea with nothing hindering the gorgeous ocean and sunrise views. We grow our own coffee on the farm and provide chemical free homegrown and hand processed Hawaiian coffee to our guests. We also have free range organic chicken eggs that we happily sell to our guests. The fruit tree currently making fruit on the farm are avocado, star fruit, bread fruit, lychees, longans and bananas. (only in season) Couldn't get more local than that! There's a nice whale watching deck on the farm where you can lounge for hours staring at the ocean, enjoying the cool b breeze, getting lots of sun and sometimes watch a whale breach. Make yourself a nice cup of hot chocolate and hangout at our deck for stargazing at night. The milky way galaxy is fully visible in our sky due to very little light pollution. You will most likely see and wish upon a shooting star! If you're visiting in August, the Perseid metro shower will take your breath away. There is also a private access to some secluded waterfalls from the property. You can get adventurous and hike down and spend the day exploring and swimming in waterfalls. THE FARMHOUSE The newly renovated boho chic farmhouse is very spacious. It has 2 bedrooms with 2 king sized beds and an air mattress for extra guests or kids. The kitchen is fully equipped with all appliances to make holiday stays more enjoyable if you intend to cook big meals. A giant farm table can sit about 12 people for a meal. The front porch ( or Lanai as we call it here in Hawaii) has expansive ocean views and a comfortable couch to sit on and enjoy the farm. We host yoga retreats regularly on the farm and you are welcome to join any yoga sessions on offer. I hope you get to stay with us and experience the Magic that we live every day of our lives. Guests have access to the whole 10 acre farm, our whale watching deck and washer/dryer at the back of house. Access to the farm is not exclusive to the guests. Owners live on the farm too and you might see them around. You will need to rent a car anywhere on the Big Island. Welcome to our Ohana. Please remember to take your shoes off before entering the cottage and avoid stepping on the rug with muddy feet. Because of clay texture of our soil it's hard to get it out of rugs :) We use rain water catchment and can run low on water during dry periods so we try to conserve water as much as we can. Mahalo for your understanding. You're welcome to wander around the property or come and lounge at our whale watching / yoga deck and enjoy a glass of wine. Or use the yoga deck for yoga & meditation. We also have chickens on the property if you're interested in having a look. We also have delicious free range organic eggs and if you're interested please let the host know. This farm is also used as a sacred healing retreat "Shakti Sacred Healing" and if you're interested in booking a Massage Session/$85 or a Sacred Healing Session/ $85 (great for stress release and anxiety) please contact host. Please do not leave dirty dishes in the sink. This is Hawaii, insects will raid very quickly. Please remember to turn the lights, coffee maker and kettle off when leaving the cottage. Please do not use white towels for cleaning up food and make up. They get permanently stained and we have to discard them. Our cleaning fees fairly reflect the number of hours spent cleaning and cost of providing freshly washed sheets and towels after each checkout. However, human errors are possible and if you have any concerns about cleanliness of the space or any other issues please report to host during first 5 hours of check-in. We will address any concerns you might have and make sure you have a comfortable stay with us. If issues are unresolvable and you would like to check out early due to the same we will refund the cancelled night/s but the cleaning fees are not refundable under any circumstances. Mahalo
