The Lookout Suite

Experience a relaxing country garden atmosphere. Spacious room, windows on three sides, panoramic view of woods, vegetable and fruit gardens, apiary and busy chickens. Queen bed, separate lounge area, private bath and adjoining kitchenette. When you stay in the Lookout Room you’ll experience a relaxing country garden atmosphere. This spacious room with windows on three sides provides a panoramic view of our woods, vegetable and fruit gardens, apiary and even the activities of our own laying hens. The soft green color of the walls and the light filtering curtains gives a relaxing close-to-nature feeling to the room which has a comfortable queen size bed, a separate elevated seating area for taking in the view, reading, relaxing and quiet conversation into the night. This area includes a couch queen pull-out which could accommodate an additional person. Within the Lookout Room there is a private bathroom with shower. Adjoining this room is a private kitchenette equipped with a mini refrigerator and microwave. If you’re up before the chickens, feel free to use the French press for morning coffee in your room before breakfast if you like. Your room is on the second floor of our home. Your ability to navigate stairs is required. Breakfast is served informally in the dining room or kitchen on the first floor. You will be walking through the main house to get to the kitchen. You are welcome to use the north deck to enjoy sitting with your cup of coffee in the morning or glass of wine at the end of your day. Also feel free to walk around outside to view the gardens and chickens if you like. Ray and I are both retired. One or both of us is here all the time. Let us know if you have any questions or need anything during your stay. A few things we want you to know: #1 - We raise Havanese dogs and although they are friendly small dogs that don't shed they are restricted to the main part of the house and the yard. They are not allowed upstairs in the Lookout Suite or guest areas. #2 - We also operate a farm stand out front during the growing season, we sell our vegetables, fresh eggs and honey.
