Hen and Hound Cottage is located just outside Orange, VA with walk-in access to James Madison's Montpelier , a plus for the Montpelier Hunt Races in November each year, and year round to access the many walking and hiking trails around Montpelier and Grelen Nursery. In addition, we are minutes away from all of the popular wedding venues in Orange. Our house on Whistle Stop Farm is directly adjacent to the cottage if you need us. Otherwise, the place is yours. Come enjoy some time in country! Private fenced yard for your dogs. Stalls and pastures available for horses, at an additional cost for those equine travelers. Guests with horses are welcome to use two stalls in the barn and will have access to the pasture at an additional cost. One of us is always available through email/Airbnb app. 3-acre farm right next to James Madison's home, Montpelier. Minutes from Orange, VA wedding venues. 40 minutes to Charlottesville, VA. Driving is required. Limited access to ride sharing services. The cottage is located on Whistle Stop Farm, so named because we are adjacent to the railroad track. Also, access to the bathroom from the master bedroom is through the second bedroom.
