Our tranquil, four bedroom villa is just a few minutes walk from some of the best beaches on Sri Lanka's South Coast and close to the vibrant bars and restaurants of Unawatuna and Galle Forte. Our 4-bedroom villa is ideal for families or groups of friends looking for tranquil accommodation within walking distance to beach and restaurants. Rates are inclusive of bed and breakfast and include daily cleaning and laundry service. Temple House is where relaxed luxury and convenience meets simplicity. Just a few minutes-walk from some of the best beaches on Sri Lanka’s South Coast and close to the vibrant bars and restaurants of Unawatuna and Galle Forte. The indoor living areas merge seamlessly with the al fresco dining and lounge under the shaded verandah overlooking the pool. Tasteful open plan living spaces compliment private, beautifully landscaped tropical gardens for a relaxed outdoor lifestyle. The private 40m2 luxury pool featuring a built-in sun shelf is perfect for enjoying a drink in the shallows or - choose to lounge with a book in the poolside cabana. Recently renovated, Temple House is bathed in natural sunlight, exposed beam cathedral ceilings add charm to the interior and a cosy reading nook with a well stocked library is the perfect spot for a lazy afternoon. Features include private parking, a Smart TV and a well-equipped kitchen with microwave to ensure you are never too far from your creature comforts. Familys' are very welcome at Temple House. Our children’s bedroom, doubles as a fun retreat, with TV and DVD player, toys and games to keep the little ones entertained and built in double bunk beds ideal for both children and teenagers. We have pool floats, beach toys, Duplo and train sets, in addition to a baby Bjorn travel cot and a baby monitor available for guests to use when staying. Each of the three double bedrooms have an ensuite luxury bamboo cotton linens and mosquito nets for your comfort. A private chef can be arranged (subject to availability) for a fee of $20 per meal + ingredients. Please let us know if you have any special requests, we are always happy to assist. Temple House is just under 2 hours drive away from Colombo Airport. It would be our pleasure to organise airport transfers for you. If you have your own car, Private parking is available on site. Ashanti our cleaner will make breakfast in the villa kitchen for all guests each morning. Other than the ingredients, there is no cost to guests for the breakfast service. Ashanti will also clean the general living spaces and will do guest laundry and room cleaning on request. Suresh, our watchmen lives on site in staff quarters with separate access at the back of the property. For your privacy, the staff quarters are sectioned off completely from the guest areas. Suresh will help with your bags on arrival and will tidy the yard and pool early each morning. Sathish, our Villa Manager will check in with guests daily to assist with any requirements, make local recommendations and reservations. Temple House is located next to a beautiful Buddhist Temple, the tranquil neighborhood is filled with tropical plants, peacocks, birds and the occasional playful monkey in the tree tops. Surrounding the villa is a mix of holiday rentals that attract international visitors and friendly locals who wave hello as they go by. Talpe has some of the best beaches on Sri Lanka's South Coast. The closest beach (within short walking distance of the Villa) is protected by a natural break wall, making it safe for swimming year round. Be sure to look out for the sea turtles while enjoying a wood fired pizza overlooking the beach. The UNESCO listed Galle Forte is 8km away, it has a wonderful collection of boutique shops, restaurants and historic buildings. Unawatuna with all of it's beach bars and restaurants is just 3km away. . Beautiful beaches, bars and restaurants are all within a few minutes walking distance from the Villa. Keen surfers, will enjoy the fantastic surfing beaches available close by. For short trips into Galle, Unawatuna or neighbouring beaches, Tuk Tuk's are a fast and cheap option. For trips further a field, we recommend car transport. Sathish, our Villa Manager will happily arrange transport on your request. The Sri Lankan Government is currently imposing region wide power cuts. These happen on an adhoc basis and last between an hour and three hours each day.
