Self-contained annexe in a large detached character family home with garden. Local village amenities, including great local pubs serving food, are a few minutes walk away. Close to the medieval city of Lichfield with good access to the countryside, Cannock Chase and the Derbyshire Dales. Bus stops outside the gate to Lichfield (5 miles), Rugeley (4 miles) and Stafford (13 miles). Own entrance, leading to large lounge with kitchen area. Upstairs to large bedroom with king-size bed and single bed. (There are separate listings for a double bedroom.) Own bathroom with laundry room off (shared with hosts). Use of large garden. Drink-making facilities in the room. Continental breakfast included. Parking on the driveway. Easy routes to all directions. Bus stops outside the gate to Lichfield (5 miles), Rugeley (4 miles) and Stafford (13 miles). Plenty of parking in each place. Either my wife or I will be on hand during your stay to answer any queries (or share a drink!). We look forward to welcoming you to our home. There are village shops, newsagents, Post Office, local supermarkets and pubs, all within walking distance. There is a fish & chip shop close by and a Chinese takeaway also in the village. There are wonderful walks alongside nearby Trent & Mersey canal and River Trent. We are 5 miles from the cathedral city of Lichfield and within 20 minutes drive of Cannock Chase, the National Arboretum, Shugborough Hall or the county town of Stafford. Less than an hour away are Birmingham, the Derbyshire Dales, Drayton Manor Park and Alton Towers. Bus stops are directly outside the house (Arriva 825). Nearest train is Lichfield, which is on the main line between London and the north west and also runs into Birmingham. We have a friendly springer spaniel.
