The Airhouse
Welcome to The Airhouse! Keurig, Nest Thermostat, and smart lights are here! The Airhouse is a small, private, cozy home (with small barber shop in front!) The Airhouse is about 30 miles from New York City, and New Jersey beaches. It’s a short walk to NJ Transit trains and buses (to Newark Airport, New York City, and NJ beaches), as well as downtown Woodbridge, parks, restaurants, grocery stores, and malls. The Airhouse is good for solo and business travelers, couples, and small families. The Airhouse features a bedroom, queen-sized bed, bathroom with shower and tub, kitchen, living room, front room with desk and coat closet, basement with washer and dryer, and a private yard with outdoor furniture to enjoy the weather, a meal outside, or a smoke outside (only). The bedroom has a large closet, a wardrobe closet, and a full bathroom with tub and dual-head shower. A charming ‘pocket door’ gives privacy for those in the bedroom, or those in the living room. The living room has a fold-down sofa that becomes a flat mattress bed for one adult, or perhaps, two small children. The bedroom and living room each have a flat screen tv with premium channels and Netflix. There is a small, older kitchen with six-burner stove/oven, large fridge/freezer, microwave, and dinning table. Entrance room has a desk, coat closet, and access to the basement for the washer-dryer. (Hidden by Airbnb) Home can help you turn on and off some of the lights, and raise and lower the heat with just the sound of your voice! During the summer months, there are two window air-conditioners: One in the bedroom, and one in the living room. Nest Thermostat in the living room regulates the heat (not the air conditioners) during the colder months, with just the sound of your voice! There is a ‘code’ door lock. Unless you are informed otherwise, your code is the last four numbers of your phone number, or that of the person who booked The Airhouse. The entire ‘house’ is yours, but guests do NOT have access to the garage or the front of the property (the Barber Shop). There is wifi access throughout The Airhouse. Adult guests (not children) may enter the basement to use the washer-dryer, but the stairs are tricky, and you enter the basement ‘at your own risk.’ Please see the House Rules about the basement and washer-dryer, as well as the WARNING on the basement door. Sometimes there is a little bit of noise from the Barber Shop. An ambiance (white noise) machine is in the kitchen, and the fan in the bathroom can also be used to muffle the slight noise that may be heard in the Barber Shop. The Airhouse is yours privately. The host lives across the street and is available by telephone, or in person, as needed. The barbers in the Barber Shop are allowed to use the part of the yard by the large tree in back of the property because that is where the garbage cans are stored. If anyone asks, please just say, “I’m a friend of Ward’s.” Other than that, you should have complete privacy.
