Cute Lakeside Getaway

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil lakeside getaway that is your ticket to fun in the Florida sun. Surrounded by mangos, palms, and lychees, this serene lakeside home is only feet from a white sand beach. Located on spring fed Crooked Lake - the only "Outstanding Florida Waters" in Polk County - you can enjoy a slice of Old Florida. Perfect for swimming, fishing, and outdoor recreation! Small rustic cabin located on the south side of Crooked Lake. Cozy bedrooms, a small kitchen, and shared rooms provide a cozy retreat when not recreating on the lake or visiting the nearby nature preserves. The cabin offers plenty of private and secure parking for several vehicles and can accommodate most boat trailers. A private boat ramp provides easy access to some the best bass fishing in central Florida. **If you are planning on bringing multiple vehicles and/or a boat and trailer please coordinate with host before booking. The house is located minutes from Babson Park, Florida and a short drive from Lake Wales. The large parking lot located at the end of the private driveway is secure and available for parking guests' vehicles. We consider six guests to be the MAX capacity for the cabin as it is not particularly large. Groups larger than 6 will be considered on a case-by-case basis. We always emphasize to potential guests that this is a cabin in rural Florida, and, as such, it lacks some of the amenities and creature comforts of a hotel or furnished house. To ensure a positive experience, we always try to make sure that our guests' expectations are appropriated gauged and met. For example, we have always struggled getting reliable WIFI connectivity. This is often exacerbated by multiple guests attempting to access/use the WIFI at the same time. We recently installed a WIFI booster that appears to help fix the issue, but we always want guests to be prepared for such things before they commit to the rental.
