Perkins House Inn, 126 yr old, Victorian Room

In downtown Vienna, this historic hotel built in 1896 provides homey atmosphere with a touch of the old original charm. The Inn is filled with antiques from the past and items from the present. The Bicycle Capital of Illinois, in the heart of the Shawnee National Forest, a deer hunters dream, close to the So. Il. Wine Trail and close to Ferne Clyffe State Park. Our Inn is the perfect place for a group of friends or family to come and stay together and enjoy all of what So. Il. has to offer. When you enter our front door into the lobby, you will be greeted by an Inn host. The lobby has an original wood parquet floor, copper ceiling and maps for you to mark where your home is. An antique wall telephone hangs on the wall reminding us of the days before "cell phones". Our rooms are decorated with a theme for each. The Victorian Room has some of the exposed brick on the walls and is decorated with creams, rose, and pink. This room is handicap accessible and is located downstairs. The Victorian Room is a private room with a private bathroom. Guests will have access to our large living room where a television and game table are located. This area is a shared area along with our large kitchen and dining room. We want you to enjoy your stay and we will give you the privacy that you want, but we will be available should you need anything or just need to talk. Our neighborhood is across the street from the small business district, but surrounded by private homes on the other 3 sides. Our area is quiet and peaceful because we are a small town. The Wine Trail has transportation that can be arranged to tour all the wineries. The Mass Transit System buses can also be used to go from one area to another. We have a large front porch and back porch with a patio attached. We offer a grill, picnic table and chairs, lawn games, and a firepit for your evening enjoyment.
