Come and visit Century Farm on 20 acres, with its own private trail through the woods and heated indoor pool for you to enjoy. Our four bed (plus den) home comes fully equipped for you to enjoy with your family and friends. Close to Brule Point golf club, we are just ten minutes from Tatamagouche - a beautiful north shore town with plenty to offer. Rushtons provincial beach is a twelve minute drive and Ski Wentworth a short thirty minute drive. Plenty for all the family to do! Guests are welcome to use the entire property. There are five bedrooms for you to use. The master bedroom has an ensuite bathroom with a shower. There is a bunk/den with a twin bed, off the master bedroom. Note that these two are connected. Note that the second floor half bathroom is part of the corridor leading to the main bedroom. We are working to close this off with a partition wall and door entrance. Contractor delays mean we may not get this done until later this summer. From the main landing you can access three bedrooms. One with a queen bed, one with a double bed and one with two twin beds. On the main floor you will find a fully equipped kitchen, with all appliances and crockery. Two steps lead up to a small family room. This is well stocked with games, and a TV with DVD player. Note, there is no cable/antennae TV in our home. Off from the family room is a large family bathroom with bathtub and shower, also with a laundry room housing a washing machine and dryer. Also on the main floor is a dining room with a large table for big family gatherings, connected to the main living room with a small office space set up in the corner. Here you will find large sofas gathered around a propane fire place, with a view out to the Northumberland strait. Off the garage where you will find some typical cottage games, is a BBQ room allowing you to grill up your favorites, while being protected from the elements. And finally the pool room. A fantastic space with large windows/sliding doors affording you a 180 degree views. There is also a large deck with a fire pit that can be accessed from the pool room. The grounds around the house has a mix of flower beds, orchard with apple and pear trees, large mowed and wild fields, as well as a wooded area with a maintained trail running through it. Guests are invited to enjoy all that our property has to offer! Guests can access the entire property. We will not be on site during your stay. We are however, accessible by e-mail, text and phone (in order of urgency). We are often there to either welcome our guests, and/or see them off. Please note that we verify total guests entering the house through the security system. The neighborhood is a very peaceful one, with very little movement during the winter and spring months. A perfect place to relax and rejuvenate. In the summer, our community comes alive with the gold course open to players. There is a delicious bakery (Country Bread basket) a good walk/short drive from our property that bakes all manner of treats. Tatamagouche is the nearest town at a ten minute drive, with a great deal of amenities. Here you will find a grocery store, library, bowling alley, local shops, farmers market, many eateries, ice cream shops (Tatamagouche Ice Creamery) and a fantastic butcher (Dexters) and micro brewery (Tatabrew) all within a short distance of each other. On the weekend, a small private RV park to the East of our property hosts small music events attracting well known musicians. This is close enough to mosey on down and enjoy if the mood takes you (for a fee), but far away enough so as not to be intrusive to your enjoyment of our home. Heading East along the sunrise trail will have you at Rushtons Provincial Beach in twelve minutes, and River John in 16 minutes where you can find a great Whisky tasting house (Caldera). To the south, taking the 326, you will find a butchers (The Pork Shop), two fabulous old mills (Sutherland Steam Mill & Balmoral Grist Mill), and eventually Earlstown General Store (well worth a visit). Ski Wentworth is half an hour drive for winter sport enthusiasts, and is a good sized hill to ski. In the area there are also plenty of independent farms to visit, as well as a winery in Malagash (Jost), with a patio restaurant that is fantastic in the summer. You will need a car. There is no public transit in the area, and very inaccessible private transport (I.e. cabs). Almost all activities and amenities off the property will require a vehicle, with the exception of the golf course and bakery, which are walkable. Please remember that this is our home that we are offering to guests. As such you will find personal decorations and items all around the house. We ask that all guests act responsibly and treat our home as they would their own.
