Ashville - 1 hour, Little Switzerland, Blue Ridge Parkway, Spruce Pine and Burnsville a short drive. Separate 1 bed/bath guest house available for larger parties. Beautiful place inside and out. Well appointed kitchen with gas stove, new dishwasher and icemaker. Separate den with desk and trundle bed. Living room is cozy with bookshelf stocked with art, books, and CDs for your use. TV, dish cable and tons of DVDs. Games and puzzles inside for rainy days. Ceiling fans throughout, sky lights and new washer and dryer. Heat/Air conditioning and a wood stove for ambiance. Wrap around deck with an area for dinning off the kitchen and lounging area in the front. Fire pit, charcoal grill, music system inside and out, outdoor games - horseshoes, cornhole, badminton and jarts. Enjoy relaxing on the deck with the sounds of Cane creek, watching birds and enjoying the smells of the abundant flowers on the property. Stargaze at night near the outdoor heater. Lots of hiking within an hour - Roan Mountain, Grandfather Mountain, Little Switzerland, Lineville Falls among others. Numerous mountain town festivals all summer long. Antiquing, Art Studios including Penland nearby. There is a guest house on the property in a former barn's loft, with a queen bed, full bath and separate deck, to accommodate another couple or larger families. Offered separately under Morningstar Cedar Loft for $45 per night that is only offered to guests who book the main house, so you will always have everything on the grounds to yourself. Access to the main house and a small art studio with a half bath - entire property to yourselves. We are one phone call away. Enjoy lunch or dinner at Bonnie and Clydes or an afternoon at Loafers Glory Rafting and Tubing, both within 100 yards. Roan Mountain is a half hour drive. Blue Ridge Parkway is a half hour away. Lots of hiking. Choice from easy to difficult, 1 mile to 10 miles. It's all nearby. Use of the studio building is included in your fee. Bike friendly area along the Toe River. Directions- we are hard to find by the address. Put Loafers Glory Rafting and Tubbing in your GPS. There is a steep, but paved driveway and it is easier to navigate when you come from that direction. We are less than 200 yards away on the other side of the road.
