Fireside Retreat-Private Lake Front Cottage

Private cottage nestled in the trees in Highlands East - 2 hours from Durham and 2.5 from Toronto. This cottage has an open concept kitchen, dining, living area with vaulted pine ceilings. Off the kitchen is a large deck with a bbq & patio set for your enjoyment. Outside is a fire pit, beautiful nature views and flat land for activities. Stairs take you down to the dock, where you can enjoy swimming or use of the kayaks (liability waiver required) on beautiful Clement Lake. Our cottage has two levels for you and your family to enjoy. The main level has three bedrooms, a four piece bathroom and a large open living/dining/kitchen area with a walk out to a large deck. Outside you will find a bbq for cooking meals and a patio set to sit and enjoy the beautiful views of nature. The lower level offers a rec room with a ping pong table and some toys for the little ones. There is plenty of space for sleeping with two futons and a pull out couch as well as a second 3 piece bathroom so that guests can spread out. Please note we have a smart tv with internet/Netflix access but no satellite tv. Eight people maximum. We only rent to families and mature groups. Absolutely NO parties or events. Out of respect for our neighbours we expect guests to adhere to all noise bylaws. Parking area for 3 cars. We are always readily available through air BnB, phone call or text. Do not hesitate to reach out if we can help make your stay more comfortable. Activities in the area include ATV/Snowmobile trails, fishing, golf, bike riding, horseback riding, hiking, etc. Wilberforce (5 minutes away) offers a Foodland, Gas Station, General Store, Pharmacy and LCBO. You can also visit Haliburton (25 minutes) and Bancroft (30 minutes). Please note that we have stairs down to the lake that are steep at parts. May not be ideal for elderly or small children. Covid-19 Update: Bring all your own bedding (pillows, sheets, blankets) and towels. Please inquire about pets. 7 night minimum for all summer bookings (Sunday to Sunday). 3 night minimum for all long weekend bookings. We have three adult life jackets and two kids life jackets. Please bring anything else you need. Signed Liability Waiver is required to use kayaks.
