The perfect location to enjoy the state of CT; thirty minutes from new haven, forty five minutes from Litchfield County, twenty minutes to the beaches of Milford, and close to New York border. Close access to various hiking trails, wineries, breweries, shops, etc. Truly the perfect spot to enjoy what CT has to offer. *close to multiple skiing locations: Mount Southington (30 minutes away), Mohawk mountain (55 minutes), and ski sundown (55 minutes)* Welcome to Swan Lake Getaway! As soon as you pull into the driveway you are embraced by the authentic lake cottage feel. Follow the path to the side door, where the self check-in lockbox can be located. Once inside you are immediately welcomed by large windows facing the water and lots of natural light. The upstairs of the house has a free flowing concept between the dining room, living room, and built in bar. Also located upstairs is the kitchen, full bath, and twin bedroom. Go downstairs to another large open living room with pull out couch and the queen bedroom. There you can also walk out to the patio which has access to the lake. Spectacular views of the water are seen on both levels with large windows and the upper and lower patio. Swan Lake is a private lake in Oxford, CT used primarily by its residents. Fishing, swimming, and use of non motorized boats are permitted. The lake does not allow the use of motorized boats. The house is located right next door to the Swan Lake beach! Beach is free to use with a provided pass. Enjoy a roped off swimming area, sandy lake beach, and a basketball court. Although the house has a rural feel, it is located locally to lots!- Starbucks, Dunkin, handful of restaurants, mini golf, and two groceries stores are about a two to five minute drive from the house. Explore further and you’ll find wineries, breweries, lots of restaurants, a few beaches, etc. let us know if you have any questions about the property, we’d love to answer them! Guest have access to the house, patio, small yard, and public beach next door. Off limit areas are the unfinished part of the basement and the outside shed, which will all be locked The house is private stand alone house- it is self check in. We live a few doors down if anything is needed during the stay! Swan LakeHouse is located in the heart of Oxford; a short few minute drive to all the town's new stores and downtown area known as the Quarry Walk. The house is also located right next to the town of Seymour and a short thirty minute drive to New Haven, which offers great night life. Forty minutes to litchfield county Plenty of wineries, breweries, shops, hiking trails nearby. The neighborhood is a great place to walk or bike, but to enjoy what the area has to offer it is best to have a vehicle to get around. Uber is available in the town but can take awhile to arrive The house is located underneath oak trees, which drop nuts during the fall season. Up to the discretion of owner, we are not liable for any damage to cars.
