Be prepared to drive up to a beautiful antebellum home that was built approximately 1859 as an impressive Gothic Revival dwelling but after a fire in 1971, the front exterior was remodeled with huge pillars in the antebellum style. The Inn is approximately 18 miles from Lexington and 18 miles from the Kentucky Horse Park. Enjoy the experience of being in a quaint, small town with some of the most famous horse farms nearby. These include Claiborne, Runnymede, Stone and Adena Springs and more. The Barr House Inn can provide all of your families' needs with its three bedrooms that can accommodate 6 people very comfortable in its mix of king and queen bedrooms with two bathrooms both with walk-in showers, all on the second floor of this gracious home. A roll-away bed is available and 2 couches upstairs for extra guests. In addition a family room with TV and small kitchen are located upstairs and adjacent to the bedrooms. The first floor of the home provides the common areas of the house with a gracious entry way, living room, dining room, bar room and outdoor swimming pool. A gas grill is onsite for your use. There is plenty of green space to accommodate all of your outdoor needs. Both the upstairs den and the bar room have a Smart TV with Wi-Fi access, APPS including NETFLIX and ESPN, and also receives 18 local channels. All of the bedrooms are WIFI accessible with ceiling fans to provide a cooling breeze. Guest have private access to all common areas of the house which include swimming pool, living and dining areas and bar room with TV, multiple bathrooms, spacious yard and large sun room. The Barr House Inn is located on one of the prettiest residential streets in Paris and is within easy walking distance of quaint downtown Paris that has many shops for your shopping pleasure. Parking is no problem in and around Paris which also has a bike lane through downtown and can be easily walked. Only guests staying at the Barr House can use common areas unless special permission is obtained to have others at the house.
