Kefalonia is surrounded by mostly sandy and pebbly beaches, with crystal clear waters. Depending on your taste and with some planning you can drive, hike or rent a boat to go swimming, as there are creeks and gulfs which are only accessible by the sea or curvy narrow paths. Avithos Beach - Location: (18 min drive). Makris Gialos - Location: (18 min drive). Platis Gialos - Location: (18 min drive). If you are a water sports lover or curious enough to have new experiences, there are a variety of activities, such as sailing, diving, sea canoeing at Trapezaki beach, 3,3 km from Hilltop Resort, horseback riding, and a wide variety of Watersports. You can get to Hilltop resort by taxi or by car. On the island there are four main ports and an airport. Sami (25.8 km from the resort) with connection to Patras, Ithaka and Igoumenitsa, Poros (28.4 km) with a route to and from Kylini; Argostoli (11.3 km) where you can get to from Zante, and Fiscardo (56.8 km) which connects Kefalonia with Lefkas & Ithaka. Kefalonia International Airport is a 10.1 km drive from Hilltop Resort.There is also a local bus network that connects Argostoli with villages all around the island. Upon request, we can facilitate arranging a taxi transfer, or you can rent a car, which is most recommended, as there are unique places to visit during your stay. There is free uncovered parking space for one car per apartment.
