Asheville Chocolate Cabin - Rustic log home w hot tub and fire pits

Welcome to "THE CHOCOLATE CABIN" Sophisticated living in a rustic log home, with a hot tub, which is fixed and ready for your use as of Jan 5, 2022. Beautiful long range and Mountain View, which is exceptional from the elevated hot tub platform! 1940s Hollywood glamour inside the log cabin, updates throughout entire home! This 1950 true LOG HOME  is ideally situated just 15 minutes north from the #1 tourist destination of 2017 in the U.S., the amazing brew capital city of Asheville, NC! Boasting 3 bedrooms, 2 full baths, and a wonderful sun room / sleeping porch with a fold out modern sofa, comfortable for two to sleep on.  Plus there is a memory foam ottoman in the living room that sleeps 1 adult.   The Chocolate Cabin can easily accommodate 6 guests.  Two (2) additional guests are allowed at no additional charge.  Approval required for more than 8 guests. Four (4) SMART TV’s with Roku, Hulu, Apple TV, Netflix…  High speed wifi is provided, along with three (3) desks with isolated space, for remote work. Completely REMODELED throughout, yet preserving some of the old cabin charm, mixed with eclectic style and modern conveniences, this cabin will indeed surprise you! The large living room / dining room combination can handle your entertaining and relaxing needs with a 50" TV, and you can build a cozy fire in the stone fireplace to keep away the winter blues. The retro 1950s kitchen has newly vaulted ceilings and amazing views of the rolling valley and mountains, as well as a full additional dining table for up to 6 if you want to keep meals causal. Feel free to sip your morning coffee and open the double 8' tall french doors and take in the mountain views. In case you have an extended stay there is a laundry room downstairs as needed off the back sun room. For your outside enjoyment there is a large half moon terrace with an outdoor seating area, dining table with umbrella, new gas grill, and outdoor fireplace. This abuts the raised hot tub platform overlooking the terrace with views of the majestic mountains and rolling valley hills.  There is a small HOT TUB that can accommodate 4 people with a temperature of 102 degrees, and has a changing hut directly next to the hot tub.  Hot tub is elevated with long views of the mountain.   Notice as of Feb 2, 2022: Our HOT TUB is fixed.  The hot tub is ready for guest use. Further beyond the terrace lie a few short WALKING TRAILS throughout the woods behind the house and barn, great for just a stroll, or maybe a quick jog.   Behind the barn you will find a private FIRE PIT which is included in the rental of the cabin. Feel free to use it as long as no active open burn ban is currently in affect.  And just like any property in a more rural setting, we have an abundance of wildlife on the property and just passing through. Including deer, ground hogs, and the like, so just be aware when walking the property :)!!! UNIQUE BENEFITS Centrally located in Western NC to many attractions, you have the beauty of being ~20 mins to amazing downtown Asheville, Biltmore Estate and 40 minutes to Wolf Ridge Ski Resort and tons of other attractions all less than an hour away. Some Unique features of The Chocolate Cabin is that guests are in an actual log cabin, built from trees off the property by the original owner. The use of walking trails, and several acres of land, fire pits and a huge patio, as well as the scenic mountain and valley views make for a wonderful experience so you never feel confined to just a city lot. BILTMORE ESTATE Visit Biltmore Village or Biltmore Estate while visiting Asheville.  The Chocolate Cabin is 13 miles, or 28 minutes to Biltmore. SKI RESORT 40 minutes or 29 miles to Wolf Ridge Ski Resort.  Skiing, snowboarding and tubing.    OTHER \- OUTSIDE SECURITY CAMERA facing back entry way is on property. \- Gas GRILL provided on patio with cooking utensils, and propane.  \- Ideal for 6 adults, but can squeeze 8.  Linens and towels provided for 6 guests.  Bring linens for the xtra people.  3 queen beds, one in each of the 3 bedrooms. 1 full size futon in porch studio with private door, but with no lock. 1 twin fold-out ottoman, with memory foam mattress, in living room.   PET POLICY Well behaved DOGS with responsible owners are welcome for an additional fee.  Obtain approval from host if there is more than 1 dog. Please clean up after dog hair. Dogs not allowed on any furniture or carpeted areas. No PARTIES or events; Max guest limit is listed on your reservation. Additional guests’ are welcome for an additional fee. LONG TERM RENTALS ALLOWED \- Stays over 89 Consecutive Days do NOT require tax when booked directly with the owner. Booking on a travel platform requires a 3% credit card processing fee to refund your tax payment. \- Stays over 89 days require $300 additional cleaning fee. \- Stays over 20 days require $100 additional cleaning fee.
