This listing offers bedroom with a King size bed and is located on 3rd floor attic. The stairs are slightly steep and ceiling low only at the top. ( my son 6'2" managed as a full grown teen) It is the largest and most private bedroom in house. Home is located 20 minutes west of center city Philadelphia, 15 minutes for Philadelphia International airport. One block walking distance to public transportation and shopping. My place is unique because everyone who comes here feels like they are welcome and at home. There is a beautiful Yarden you can relax in for morning coffee, afternoon tea, or an evening bonfire. Take a nap in the hammock or read good book. You will hear birds singing and children playing. Guests are welcome to utilize the yarden, kitchen, living room , enclosed porch, during their stay. There is laundry available in basement. I have a tenant who is my assistant who can assist you when she is available. I am always available by phone call or text. Quiet family oriented neighborhood. Shopping center within walking distance. Starbucks, CVS Pharmacy, Dunking Donuts,2 local pubs are only two blocks away. Haverford Township has many nice restaurants, pubs, nail salons, pizza and hoagie shops and a local YMCA. Best Philly cheese steaks are found in the suburbs and in my kitchen. Many walking trails and collages in the area. There is a bus stop two blocks from house that goes to Atlantic City for day trips. Home is located 20 minutes west of center city Philadelphia, 15 minutes for Philadelphia International airport. One block walking distance to public transportation and shopping. 20 Minutes from Valley Forge National Park 10 minutes from local train that goes into Philadelphia. 11 miles off Interstate 95 & 476. 2 miles from 467 & Rt.3. Entry and Exit Enter either yard gate to get to the back kitchen door. The lock box is located on back porch, hanging on the chair. The key is shared by everyone who staying here. Put the key back in the lock box and lock the box every time you use the key to open or lock the door. NOTE: You also need to use the code to lock the key back in the box. There is a reset pull down button in the middle of the box, to start over, if you enter the wrong code. (There is an emergency lock box on the Welcome Bench, This is not for guest entry) Door locking when in the house: If you are home alone and staying upstairs in your room. Please lock the kitchen door. Checking In Call or Text me when checking in. Please remove your shoes before entering the house. You will find a room key in the doorknob of your assigned bedroom. Checking Out Please Text or call Me when you are checking out. Please leave your room key in the bedroom doorknob Shoes In an effort to keep the floors clean for everyone, kindly remove your shoes at the door. They can be left under the “Welcome” bench on the back porch. Powder Room (bathroom) in Kitchen The flush handle on toilet is sensitive. Push handle gently and hold for 2 seconds or until you hear the gulp. Otherwise, the toilet may run… When leaving the house for extended time or when checking out, please make sure it is not running. Kitchen Appliances Unplug Toaster, mixer, blender, and keurig coffee maker when not using. Keurig has a refillable pod, if you bring your own coffee. Dishwasher : The dishwashing cleaning pods are located under kitchen sink, in clear Tupperware container. One per load. Set on either normal or light and when the heat button turns on, push it to turn off. Then push start. (The dishwasher runs for a long time) Over and microwave: There are two start buttons above the microwave on control panel. The top is for microwave, lower one for over. When the oven is in use, you need to push #1 to use microwave. You will see the directions scroll across the top of panel. Call me anytime if you have trouble figuring it out. Please cover anything you place in microwave. If you make a mess, clean it up. Cameras There are 3 security cameras on the first floor. One facing kitchen door, one facing enclosed front porch door, and one on enclosed front porch facing the front door. Please do not unplug any of these cameras. I can turn them on remotely, They are there for your safety and my peace of mind. Pets: Dogs only and must be approved. Dogs are charged the same a additional person. Cleaning Kitchen *Counter and cabinets: I only use dish soap to clean the granite counter top and around handles on kitchen cabinets. *Please do not use anything abrasive on the dishwasher front, oven, microwave front, and cabinets *If you make a mess in the microwave, please clean inside roof, side walls and bottom dish of microwave. Best to cover anything you put into the microwave. *There are cleaning items under the kitchen sink. *If you make a mess or spill on the kitchen floor , wipe it up. *If you spill in the refrigerator or see a spill, please wipe it up. *Refrigerator door handle and water/ ice door dispenser may need a wipe down every few days. *There is a swiffer and a box of pads and a flat pole mop with wet pad and dry pad + floor wash mixture in squeeze bottle located at the top of basement stairs. *There are plenty of dish towels in middle drawer to right of sink on island. They can be washed along with wet and dry mop pads. Night Lights There is a light switch in the left corner by sliding glass door for the light sconces on both side of sliding glass door. These get turned on at dark and off in the morning. There is a night light plugged in the outlet to the right of the stove. This also gets turned on at dark and off in the morning. In the livingroom there is a small lamp on the antique desk. This get turned on at dark and off in the morning. At top of stairs there is a small lamp and a night light in outlet for the bathroom. They also get turned in pm and off in am. Bedroom Doors Each bedroom door has its own separate key and a latch lock on the outside of door. The latch lock on outside of door is to indicate to other guests that you are not home. Please remember to put the latch lock on door when you are leaving the property Bathroom Please leave bathroom as you find it. If you shed in the shower, remove you hair. If you leave a mess on toilet , sink or mirrior, please wipe it up. You will find Clorox wipes on back of toilet, please be conservative. There is a toilet brush behind toilet next to radiator cover. Some cleaning solutions under sink. If a housemate is not following these rules, please text me. Please do not flush anything other than toilet paper in toilet. NO FLUSHABLE WIPES,PERSONAL LADY PRODUCTS, NAPKINS OR PAPER TOWELS. Laundry in Basement Washer and dryer are located in the basement. Long term guests need to bring their own Laundry detergent. The clothes will dry on average of 40 min. When doing laundry, please be home to start and finish the chore. The Yarden There is a large brown storage container near the patio outdoor couch. Please keep an eye on the weather and radar apps for rain. If you put the cushions out and you see the weather is going to be clear, they can be left out for clear consecutive days. If rain is in the forecast, put the cushions away. The hammock blanket and pillows can be put on the welcome bench on back porch during a short rain and back out once the storm passes. When checking out please fold hammock blanket to fit into the brown storage with the cushions. Make sure the bin is snapped shut. Cushion storage*Cushions go in standing up, 5 will fit on one side, 3 on other side leaving room for the hammock blanket and pillows. Anything you can not fit in the brown storage bin can be put on welcome bench on back porch. The long double bench cushion can be stored on the welcome bench when raining. Table Umbrella Please lower table umbrella, when you see there is a pending storm coming. There is a pin that holds the umbrella up. You will need to stand on the raw iron chair to raise and lower umbrella and place or remove the pin that is attached to the rope.
