Country Relais & Spa Le Capanne is a 100-year-old farmhouse recently renovated into a luxurious country-chic Villa by the owners. It is located in the countryside of Volterra, an 8th century BC city. The villa is about 650 square meters in size, with 40 hectares of land. It offers 360-degrees views of Tuscany's rolling hills and sunsets, in a peaceful and private setting. Adjacent to the property is a natural reserve: Monte Nero, where hiking trails and waterfalls are available to guests to explore. The villa has nine beautiful en-suite bedrooms, each with its own private access. There are large common areas for groups to gather, such as 2 kitchens, living room/seating area with 3 sofas, two dining rooms and a laundry room. Also, available indoors is our spa. Here you will find a heated jacuzzi, massage room and changing room. Outside we have an original wood burning pizza oven, bbq and 2 fire pits for guests to gather around. Also, available is our swimming pool, roughly 15 x 6 meters in size, accompanied by our pool house (pool structure with kitchen and bathrooms). There are numerous alfresco spaces to dine with family and friends or relax on your own with views and sunsets of Tuscany. The strategic location offers all customers a wide range of flexibility. There are two nearby airports: Florence and Pisa. You can take day trips to Volterra, San Gimignano, Siena, Pisa, Florence, Lucca, Livorno and the coast. Activities arranged by the Owners are cooking classes, wine tasting, golf, horseback riding, city tours and many more. Coast/Beach The nearest beaches of Cecina, Bibbona and Castiglioncello are a 45 minute drive. For those prepared to travel a little longer there are some beautiful coastal towns well worth exploring such as Cinque Terre, Portovenere and Baratti. Also available are interesting one day cruises to explore the Tuscan Islands. Skiing The nearest ski resort is at Abetone which is 150kms from the property. The Owners are happy to offer anything you need to make your stay unforgettable. They are able to offer just about anything you need on demand.
