Take a short drive up to several nearby resorts - Killington, Stratton, Magic Mountain - all less than 30 miles away! Enjoy local ski-mobile access (rentals available in nearby Ludlow) when Star Lake freezes and becomes part of the interconnected Vermont Association of Snow Travelers (VAST) ski-mobile trails, or simply put on some skates, snowshoes, or hop on a bike and enjoy the breathtaking mountain views the lake and wildlife management area and trails have to offer. Winter sports not for you? Enjoy kayaking, hiking and fishing right here at the Star Lake Wildlife Management Area, or enjoy the nearby swimming and recreation area. Want a bigger water adventure?
