This holiday home offers barbecue facilities, built into a beautiful hunting lodge. There is free WIFI available. The house has fully equipped kitchen. Here you will find everything you could possibly want to cook yourself, such as a coffee maker, kettle, microwave, pots and pans and all kinds of kitchen utensils. There are 3 bedrooms: the suite, the children's room and the family room. There is also a seating area with a fireplace and a dining area with a table for 6 people. At the back of the house are the ruins of the Jonckholt. Jonckholt was a loan from the county of Loon. Thanks to archaeological research you can fully admire the floor plan of this medieval fortress today. The foundations of the walls in marlstone and of the four robust corner towers rose almost undamaged from the marshy soil. Here, big and small, imagine themselves knights or princess for a moment! With a little imagination you will be catapulted back into the Middle Ages. A beautiful oak avenue connects this site with the castle of Groenendaal. You can use a rail bike within walking distance of the house. The trail is 6 km long and brings the railbikers through beautiful landscapes. A picnic meadow is provided in Gellik. Then the bicycle is reversed and you cycle back to Munsterbilzen. You are on the road for about an hour and a half. Within cycling distance, six km, you can admire Alden Biesen's land commandery. A beautiful heritage site, an international cultural and congress center, a tourist attraction Alden Biesen in Bilzen is it all. Once built by the German Knighthood, it is now one of the largest castle domains in the Euregion. You can take a trip along the Albert Canal to Maastricht, one of the oldest cities in the Netherlands. The historic center of Tongeren is a 20-minute drive from the Jonckholthuis. Feel like shopping? Hasselt, Genk, Aachen, Liège and Maasmechelen Village can be easily reached by car.
