Space Great Location - Most guests have noted that. Hot News....Brand New Bed Mattresses... The apartment actually has 3 double bedrooms. It is very central. Door to door – it’s a 3 to 4 minutes walk from the Bakerloo and Northern Lines Tube Stations and 7 mins walk from the Jubilee Line at Southwark Tube Station. (An accurate description in terms of times.) Garden Row is a short road - at the end of the road, there are 24 hour buses into the West End OR you can walk to the Houses of Parliament/Westminster in 15 minutes. At the other end of Garden Row there are 24 hour buses to Shoreditch and the City of London – just across London Bridge. It is a 1 minute walk(accurate) to the Imperial War Museum and the park around it - I play tennis there and use the Café inside the Museum which is nice. The Tate Modern and SouthBank is very close and a 10-12 minutes walk. I walk it twice a week. It's a nicely decorated 3 double bedroom flat in SE1 on two levels just by the South Bank and the River Thames. The apartment has a separate kitchen with a small table and chairs, a good sized open plan style living room with a table and 6 chairs and a sofa and glass doors leading into the walled garden. It has one shower room and a separate toilet. The shower works well - not a dribble! - and is a good size. The three bedrooms are of equal size. The flat has Wifi. We have nice neighbours on the street and I tell them when I have people staying. Parking permits for your car are available, if you give me advance warning so you can park outside the flat. All towels and bedding etc is provided and whatever in the food cupboard is yours to use - tea, coffee, all the usual cooking condiments, breakfast cereals and anything else that happens to be there. I hope I'm a good host and hope to be flexible to what you need during your stay. Just ask. It has a separate kitchen with a small table and chairs, a good sized open plan style living room with a table and 6 chairs and a sofa and glass doors leading into the walled garden. It has one shower room and a separate toilet. The shower works well - not a dribble! - and is a good size. Two of the bedrooms are of equal size and the third is slightly smaller but still a double room with a double bed, desk and wardrobe etc Each bedroom has plenty of hanging clothes space and shelving. Guest access The guests have access to the whole flat. There's one storage cupboard full of junk/bits and bobs that I ask to be left alone. Neighbourhood overview I've lived in and around there for 12 years. I like that I'm 2 mins from the Imperial War Museum and the park that it's set in - which means I can use the tennis courts and 5 a side football. I have a 24 hour mini supermarket 1 min away - very useful! And various coffee places at the the top of the road. There are 2 supermarkets within 5-7 minutes walk away. And I'm close to the Southbank Centre where I hang out socially - eat and drink - and the River Thames where I jog along. Across the road from the flat, is a very good gym attached to Southbank University which you can use if you want to keep up your exercise regime while can get day passes. There's a new Italian food market and outside place full of stalls, loads of Italians who live in London shop and eat there. it's called Mercato Metropolitano and is about a 5 mins walk from the apartment. The streets called The Cut and Lower Marsh, SE1 respectively - are two well known streets full of shops, restaurants and pubs and only a 8-10 mins walk from the flat. On Saturday, you can walk to Borough Market - London's number one food market and great people watching! Other things to note The flat is BRILLIANTLY located as many of the reviews point out. The Bakerloo and Northern Lines are 3 mins away - and there are buses anywhere you want to go, depending what you have planned to see while in London. When travelling to the flat - I always advise to get a taxi, particularly if you can share the cost - don't use Black Cabs/Taxis - they are very expensive - book a taxi online or Uber. If you want to use public transport, let me know from which airport/train station you're arriving at and I will give you the best way to get to the flat. Parking - if you know London, you'll know it's a nightmare to both drive around and park. If you let me know in advance that you will need to park a vehicle near or outside the flat I can arrange to buy parking vouchers which last one day each, that can be arranged.
