Loch Sport grows from approximately 1000 residents to around 12,000 residents at Christmas time and the vibe and feel of the town is just like it was when we were kids. Loch Sport is a small rural town who's major claim to fame is that it is home to the 90 mile beach on one side and the magnificent Lake Victoria on the other side. So no matter what sort of water sport you like, Loch Sport is the place to be. The town is safe, most people are comfortable walking around everywhere, so many people return for their holidays year after year. It is a true home away from home. The Space: Kookaburra Lodge is a single level holiday home that has 4 bedrooms and sleeps 11 people comfortably. There is a single bathroom with a shower, separate toilet, and vanity and then the open plan kitchen/dining and living areas. All the basics you would expect are here...microwave, fridge/freezer, 2nd freezer, dishwasher, electric cooker, coffee pod machine, kettle, toaster etc. The dining table is laid and has a complimentary bottle of wine waiting to be enjoyed and the living area is separated by the comfy couch and 2 x arm chairs, throw rugs, cushion and a brand new, HUGE smart TV with unlimited Netflix. There is also unlimited Wifi whilst in the house. PLEASE NOTE: There are no laundry facilities in the house, please feel free to utilise the coin laundramat located behind the General Store. It has a minimalist design, this house is meant for explorer's and activists...those that are ready to put Loch Sport through it's paces. The biggest decision is...do we start on the 90 mile beach or do we start on Lake Victoria? That depends on what sort of toys you bought with you and how big they are!! Jetski's and boats, head over to the marina at Lake Victoria and you will have the best day of your life zooming around. If you have little ones...there's lots of little beaches along the edge of Lake Victoria and it's quite safe for the kids to paddle around the edges and play on the beaches. Take a picnic and you won't need to come back all day. If you're more into surfing, then definitely head to the 90 mile beach, it does get fairly rough and I wouldn't suggest swimming as it is not patrolled but the walks along the beach are just divine. If you're after a break from the water, there are two National Parks where you can go hiking and you will get to see so much of our natural heritage it really is breathtaking. There are also lots of walks around the town and along Lake Victoria, skate bowl for the kids, park with some play equipment and maybe finish the day with some fish and chips from Uncle Tony's Fish and Chip's...I can personally vouch for them! Guest Access: Guest access is contactless. Guests will receive Check in information which will include how to access the property via email 24 hours prior to their arrival date. The Neighborhood: Loch Sport is that little piece of Victoria that is a haven for all things 'water'. Whether it be boating, fishing, (surf or still water) water skiing, kayaking, surfing, sailing, swimming or paddle boarding you can do it in Loch Sport. Envioubly Loch Sport is located between the 90 mile Beach and the magnificent Lake Victoria and as such caters for young families and dare devils trying to catch the biggest waves. But wait, there's more, much more...2 National Parks - Gippsland Coastal Park and the Lakes National Park where you can hike and take in all of natures beauty right along the coast, there is an Art trail throughout the town, a Skate park for the kids, walking paths along Lake Victoria, parks to play in, the Marina where you can spend time checking out the magnificent boats and yachts berthed there. The native flora and fauna abound around Loch Sport, with kangaroo's often stopping by on the front yard, lizards and if you're especially lucky you might get to see the local dolphins. The local eateries are great, with the Marina Hotel providing great local customer service and great food as well, there is the RSL, and now the Bowls club has opened a Bistro, fish & chips, pizza, the local Foodworks and a coin laundrette in town. Getting Around: Quite often during the warmer months it's quite usual to see people just walking around the town. It's quite pleasant with plenty of walking paths near the main touriost areas. Of course you can also hop into your car for a more speedy drive to whichever location you plan on going to. Other Things to Note: Please note in order to finalise your Booking, we will be sending you our Guest Check In form which will need to be completed, including uploading of your ID within 24 hours. Your reservation is not fully confirmed until we receive the completed form and it has passed our validation. If your form does not pass our validation, you may be asked to provide or re-submit some additional information. Once your Check In Form has been passed, your reservation will be FULLY CONFIRMED. If you do not complete your Check In Form within 24 hours, your reservation will be CANCELLED. IMPORTANT PAYMENT INFORMATION: 1. ONCE YOU HAVE BOOKED YOUR RESERVATION, YOU WILL BE CHARGED THE TOTAL COST OF THE ACCOMMODATION. 2. AN AUTHORISATION HOLD FOR THE AMOUNT OF $300 WILL BE SECURED, 2 DAYS BEFORE YOUR ARRIVAL DATE. 3. WE KINDLY ASK THAT YOU HAVE SUFFICIENT FUNDS ON YOUR CREDIT CARD. THE SECURITY BOND DEPOSIT WILL NOT BE CHARGED AS A PAYMENT IT WILL BE HELD AS AN AUTHORISATION ON YOUR CREDIT CARD. THE SECURITY BOND DEPOSIT WILL BE RELEASED 7 -10 DAYS AFTER CHECKOUT, PROVIDING NO DAMAGE OCCURS, NO ITEMS ARE MISSING AND YOU HAVE FOLLOWED OUR HOUSE RULES DURING YOUR STAY.
