It’s a 3 minute walk to the local Asda supermarket and it’s just a 5 minute drive away from the University of Hertfordshire, Hatfield Business Park, Hatfield House and the Galleria with its wide range of high street shops and restaurants. Need to get into London? The house is also a short walk to Hatfield train station with fast trains to London Kings Cross (get there in 25 mins!). The house is lit up with modern led recessed lights and plenty of natural light. There’s off-street parking and plenty of free on-street parking. No permits required! Our house offers a fully equipped kitchen including kettle, toaster, cafeteire, smoothie maker, fryer and rice cooker. To welcome you to our house, we offer complimentary tea and coffee. It’s located a 5 minute drive to Hatfield Business Park, home to the University of Hertfordshire, Ocado, BT, Yodel, Eisai, Porsche, Affinity Water, DHL, Computacenter and One Hatfield Hospital. THINGS TO DO Hatfield House is a country house set in a large park, famous for being the childhood home of Queen Elizabeth I. It has an array of wonderful gardens, a farm, shops and restaurants. It’s a popular choice for film crews too being close to Pinewood, Leavesden and Elstree studios with many Hollywood films being shot there. The venue also hosts year round events including exhibitions, festivals and concerts. These include the Slam Dunk Festival, Living Crafts, Battle Proms, Folk by the Oak, Game Fair, Luna Cinema, Classic Ibiza, Chamber Music Festival, the Wedding Fair and Christmas Market. Mill Green Museum and Mill is a working watermill dating back to the 17th century. It is powered by the River Lea and used to grind wheat for the local bakery (which you can also purchase).   Stanborough Park is a country park over 126 acres with two lakes. Great for long walks, fishing and boating activities (rowing boats, pedal boats and kayaks are available to hire).   Nightlife. If you’re looking for a great country pub for good food and a selection of beers wines and spirits then there’s the Red Lion Pub, The Cock o’ the North – Bell Bar and the Woodman. Things to do with the kids There are lots of things to do with the kids too. Get Wild is an indoor play area in the Galleria shopping centre, there’s swimming at Hatfield Swim Centre and Hatfield Park Farm (feed the animals, play areas, tractor rides). Getting into London. Hatfield Railway Station is a 3 min drive / 15 min walk away from the house. Trains run to London Kings Cross and take 25 mins. FOOD, DRINK AND SHOPPING Supermarket and petrol There’s an Asda Superstore located just a 2 min drive / 5 minute walk away carrying a wide range of products including fresh food and drink, clothing and homewares. The supermarket also has a petrol station.   Shopping mall The Galleria is a large shopping mall located a 5 minute drive away. It has a wide variety of high street shops plus several restaurants and a cinema.
