Casa de Lord Syd, Quinta da Baralha (2 of 2)
Casa de Lord Syd, Quinta da Baralha Chestnut
This is a typical Portuguese schist house, that has been lovingly restored from a ruin, which has two bedrooms, a kitchen/lounge and modern bathroom. This house has a lovely veranda overlooking the terraces and stream which runs through the bottom of the property. The Space This house is situated further down the mountain from our other house, Quinta da Castanha. It is totally separate and private and can be rented for 4 people but also offers opportunities for larger families (up to 8) to holiday together renting both houses. Guest Access Guests will have complete access to the house with a lounge/kitchen that has a woodburner on the ground floor. The kitchen area has a cooker, microwave, washer and fridge. The upper floor has 2 double bedrooms and a bath room. Outside is a verandha overlooking the grounds. A wonderful place to enjoy a glass of wine and relax amongst nature. Other things to note The house is situated at the top of the mountain and is surrounded with ample grounds to explore. Be aware that suitable footwear is advisable. There is plenty of car parking in front of the house. The road from Dreia village to the house is a rural track but is accessible by all cars. We would like to inform guests that the rural track has some tight bends and narrow parts so please take your time when driving up and down to the house. (The owner is improving the track at the moment) Vehicles with very low suspension may struggle. Please note that should you wish to bring a dog, an extra 50 euros security deposit will be required. Let us know if you will be bringing your dog with you at the time of booking. During the winter months, fees for any wood that is burnt will be deducted from the 100 euros security deposit . Each cube costs 35 euros. ** Home is not suitable for children under 4 years of age** *Please note there is no seasonal variation in our pricing.
