That being said, you don't need to go far to have a memorable holiday - the park is full of fantastic family-friendly facilities to suit all your needs. The park features an attractive outdoor heated pool, children's play areas and an amusement arcade sure to provide fun for all the family. There is plenty for children to enjoy including an adventure playground and kid's club, plus a variety of activities and entertainment. After a long day exploring, relax with a drink at the bar or a meal at the bistro before settling down in the clubhouse to enjoy some family entertainment, sports on the big screen, or bingo. Experience beautiful walks in the surrounding countryside or along the peaceful shingle beach, admiring views towards the Fairlight cliffs and the rural High Weald. There are plenty of activities to enjoy including windsurfing which is particularly popular in this area. The area boasts many stunning beaches with the glorious golden sands of Camber less than a 20-minute drive away. The town of Winchelsea was a medieval port, now landlocked by the shifting coastline. Tour the hidden medieval vaults or visit the church with its beautiful panoramic stained glass windows. Discover the history of Winchelsea in the museum and learn about Old Winchelsea, the 'drowned city' which now lies under the waves of Rye. The area also has plenty of children-friendly farms for a great family day out. The neighbouring Cinque Ports of Hastings and Rye also make excellent visits. Rye is just a 10-minute drive away, a beautiful medieval town where winding cobbled streets are lined with independent shops, art galleries, pubs and tearooms. The stunning nature reserve is home to a vast array of wildlife and habitats, perfect for walks, birdwatchers and photographers. 20 minutes away by car is the vibrant town of Hastings with its quirky independent shops, bars and restaurants. Explore the medieval Old Town, smugglers caves, and the castle. The neighbouring Battle also provides an exciting day out for all the family, with the famous Battle Abbey built where King Harold fought William the Conqueror in 1066. This is a lovely property for an economy van , it is situated in a holiday park on winchelsea beach , just outside the beautiful winchelsea village and along the coast with miles of stoney beaches that stretch on for miles . This property sleeps up to 6 guests per stay consisting of a master bedroom with a kingsize bed and ensuite with a wash basin and toilet , the second bedroom has 2 single beds and there is a double sofa bed in the main living area . The main bathroom has a shower cubicle and a wash basin with a toilet . This van's main living area is spacious with fitted furniture that spreads around 1 side of the van that flows nicely to the dining area with a dining table , there is a fireplace and the property has double glazing and central heating throughout so it will be lovely and cozy for them chilly nights . The kitchen is fully equipped with all you need to prepare and cook your meals, with a hob and oven toaster and microwave , fridge freezer and not forgetting the most important thing , the kettle . 1066 holidays also leave a lovely little welcome pack with everything you will need to get you started on your holiday including tea bags , coffee , sugar , washing up liquid etc , so no need to worry about these little things for your first day or so . This property is also pet friendly so you can bring your fur babies with you to enjoy the countryside that winchelsea offers on long walks . There is decking along 1 side of the van and your parking is literally outside your door , it is a 5-6 min walk to the clubhouse that offers entertainment , a restaurant called the lobsterpot and literally just outside the parks entrance there is a pub , co-op , kebab shop , and a recommended fish and chip shop , so if you have any days when you don't want to cook there are plenty of options for you , the park also has a lovely outdoor swimming pool * We at 1066 holidays supply all your crisp clean linen and white fluffy towels and we also dress your van ready for when you arrive so you can start enjoying your holiday as soon as you arrive , if you are looking for that perfect holiday for rest and recuperation then this is the one for you , and it is a very short drive or bus ride to the neighboring towns for a more upbeat atmosphere . *park facilities , we recommend that you contact the parks reception directly for up to date information and prices as all parks currently have different prices on dates , size of group etc .
