The Space: Loft Katelijne comprises of a fully equipped kitchenette with washer/dryer and fast WiFi. The décor has been designed to be sympathetically contemporary, fitting perfectly into this historical area to offer an experience in keeping with the façade from the 1800s. You’ll find the natural wood and dove grey walls work perfectly with the light that comes flooding through the windows, offering a calm and relaxed living area for you to unwind in. Situated in the hearth of Bruges within walking distance of all famous sites, attractions and restaurants, a world-heritage site. Designed by renowned Belgian interior designer Natalie Haegeman, Katelijne loft offers luxurious accommodation in a traditional 19th century home. She kept all the unique elements of the apartment that makes it special. The bedrooms and bathroom are very spacious and well equipped. Both bedrooms have king-size beds made up with high-quality bedlinen. The second bedroom is located on a spacious, beautifully decorated mezzanine. The bathroom has a walk-in-shower, lavatory and toilet. No worries, we also provide a fresh set of bath linen and bathroom essentials such as shampoo and hand-wash from "Rituals”. On top of it all, there is a dressing to make sure you can hang and easily pick your clothes for any occasion. Of course, we want you be able to relax and prepare any food if wanted. Therefor we created a harmony and coherent whole in the living and dining area for you to enjoy with your friends, family and loved ones. Reading a book, sipping coffee or enjoying a good glass of wine/food without the daily distractions from all prominent multimedia. We did not remove all the multimedia, just minimalized them to make sure you'll enjoy Bruges and the apartment in its full glory. If you have any other questions or requests, please let us know. The apartment is located on the first floor of a historical building. Please note that there is no elevator. The entrance is shared with a beautiful, local interior shop. Self check-in instructions are provided in advance through your personal guest portal. The Neighborhood: Loft Katelijne is situated in an amazing location – Bruges’ old city center surrounded by canal-side cafes and restaurants. . The famous Market square is only 300 meters away as well as the main shopping streets. Must-see museums Gruuthuuse and Groeninghe are at only 750 meters from the apartment with a varied overview of the history of Belgian visual art and top-class paintings by the world-renowned Flemish primitives. Without good food is nothing possible but luckily these are once again found within a 5/10-minute walk. From Breakfast to Lunch to High Tea or Diner. Belgian waffles, excellent coffee, typical Belgium food or a top restaurant. Need a fresh sea breeze? The Belgian coast and sea can be reached in 20 minutes by car and is one of my favorite things to do after a few days Bruges. Getting Around: You can easily reach the house by public transport and car. Luggage can be unloaded comfortably at the doorstep for a few minutes and park your car afterwards. There is a bus stop at 350 meters from the apartment. Bus 4 leaves from the front of the station at perron 4, and you must get off at the stop “Brugge Katelijnepoort”. You can also take a taxi from the station to the house which will cost around 10-15 euro. Taxis can be found next to the busses. Parking is possible in the public parking “Parking Katelijne” (Costs around 14€ / 24 hours) and is on a 200m walk from the house. The most economic option is to park your car at Bruges railway station and to take a free bus to the apartment (bus 4). Other Things to Note: What we provide especially for you: - We provide prepared beds with the high-quality bed linen. One pair of bed linens per guest, per stay. More bed linen can be ordered during your stay at a surcharge. Baby bed linen is not included. - We provide soft and thick bath towels. One big and one small towel per guest, per stay. More bath towels can be ordered during your stay at a surcharge. - We provide a Nespresso machine and 2 free capsules per guest, per stay. - We provide Rituals, shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, shower gel, hand-soap good for 3 days. - We provide a few starting amenities enough for at least 3 days: sugar, olive oil, pepper & salt, handwash, detergent, kitchen-towel, kitchen-cloth and a kitchen sponge, kitchen paper and trash bin with bags. House rules: In order to enjoy your stay to the fullest, we thank you for taking into account the standard house rules listed below. Please also use everything with respect as if it were your own.1. 1. Minimum age: Please note we do not allow groups of minors -26 years. 2. Non-smoking policy: Kindly take into account that smoking is not allowed in the entire property. 3. Low noise hours: In order not to disturb anybody, we ask all our guests to respect the low noise hours between 22:00 - 08:00 and not to throw any parties. 4. Pets: We love pets! In case you would like to bring your furry friend, an extra charge of 50 euros will be asked for extra cleaning services. 5. Damage: In case of damage, please inform us as soon as possible. If necessary, the paid deposit will be kept for the respective amount. If you have any other questions or requests, please let us know. We love to help and answer any question you might have. We are hoping to welcome you and look forward to your stay! The charged fees for things like accommodation and cleaning are split in 90% for real estate rental and 10% for rental of furniture. Interaction with Guests: We always try to welcome you in person, but after the check-in, we respect your privacy 100%!
