This water front cozy rowhome is located in a quaint residential neighborhood. It's walking distance to everything downtown Harrisburg city has to offer. We love downtown because it's a unique neighborhood to play and relax. Riverfront is at your door steps and City Island and the "Walking Bridge" offers a very unique experience of the Susquehanna River. We had lived in the city for over 10 yrs. Come see why Harrisburg is a hidden gem among south central PA. Coronavirus Information: In response to COVID - 19 and as we attempt to do our part in preventing the spread of the virus, our cleaning team is making sure to pay extra attention to all frequently touched surfaces. All touchable surfaces will be thoroughly disinfected at the conclusion of every reservation. These areas include all door handles, light switches, faucet handles, remotes, and kitchen surfaces to name a few. This is an Airbnb cleaning compliant home. Perfectly situated in downtown Harrisburg is the historic district of Shipoke, a residential neighborhood. This updated 3 story row home features 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms. Central air and heat. Fully stocked kitchen with ice maker fridge. BBQ gas grill. Very walkable to all things in downtown Harrisburg. Rental rate is all bills paid. That means we pay all utilities. It is also fully furnished house down to the spoons. If you're renting on a month to month basis, then we ask you provide towels, detergent and paper towels and toiletries. Monthly rental is only available Nov - Mar. The house is a technology wonder. We now have full keyless entry with home automation features such as lighting, thermostat and doors. You will never have to worry about lost or misplaced keys ever. We have highspeed WiFi, Netflix, Amazon Prime and HD major network cable. If you like to cook, this is the place to do it. The kitchen is well stocked with cooking gear. The rear patio has a picnic bench, a large BBQ grill and even an herb garden for your use during growing season. After a good meal, you have Riverfront for nice relaxing walk. The sunsets are to die for with the many bridges that Harrisburg city is known. Availability may subject to change since house is advertised on other websites for daily bookings. BEDS: Rear bedroom - full XL; front bedroom - queen; 3rd floor suite - queen and full; sofa fits one (not a pullout) NOTE: please use the 3rd floor washer and dryer only PARKING: off-street for 1 small to medium sized passenger vehicle or obtain temporary parking permts; more specific info when you book FREE PARKING ON-STREET: free parking outside of these hours: 9am to 10am and 4pm to 5pm, Monday thru Fri only. Weekends do not require any permits. PARKING PERMITS FOR EXTRA CARS: remaining cars to be parked on-street that is meter parking or pay $10/car parking permit at City Hall: 123 Walnut St. Second Floor, Harrisburg, (just say you're visiting friends at this address). Harrisburg is very well situated for access to most major cities in the Mid-Atlantic region: Philadelphia is 2 hrs away, Baltimore is only 1 hr, NYC is 3.5 hrs, Washington DC & Pittsburgh are 2.5 hrs, Ocean City, MD is 4 hrs, Amish country in Lancaster is 45mins and Hershey less than 30 minutes away. It is also a very affordable city with cost of living below the national average. Harrisburg is the state capital for Pennsylvania. It is a very historic city that was officially established in (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) but originally founded in (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) Many of the buildings in the city center are well over 100 years old. The state capitol is ranked one of the most beautiful in the nation and should be visited when you're in town. There are many things to do in the city and its neighboring towns. In the city, you have the famous Riverfront. It is a two tier walking and biking trail that extends north and south Front Street for miles. It offers a panoramic view of the beautiful and serene Susquehanna River, at which times flood to the river banks in the Spring from melting snow that is fed by its many tributaries. The Walking Bridge at Walnut and Front Street allows one to walk to City Island. It offers beach volleyball courts, soccer, miniature golfing, miniature train rides around the island and hosts the city's professional baseball team, Harrisburg Senators. It is a great spot to rent kayaks or canoes to tour the river. The famous ferryboat, Pride of the Susquehanna, docks here for tours. Other local attractions and venues are the Appalachian Trail that can be accessed at Peter's Mountain, Appalachian Brewing Company (microbrew & restaurant with live music), Hershey and Hersheypark, Amtrak, Greyhound bus station, Ski Roundtop, world class golfing, fishing, boating, stargazing, and so much more. We love downtown because it's a unique neighborhood to play and relax. The house offers a very serene scene while not too far away from the pleasures of city life. Riverfront is just at your door steps and City Island and the "Walking Bridge" offers a very unique experience of the Susquehanna River. We had lived in the city for over 10 yrs. Lots of unique places to visit. Best of all, you're in walking distance to everything! You are in the heart of everything that is downtown yet far enough to have your privacy and enjoy the serene Susquehanna River. Most things are in walking distance. Access to major highways is a cinch from the house. Public bus transportation is just 2-3 blocks away, Amtrak just downtown (3 minute car ride) and very easy access to all major highways. Uber is also available. For our guests that are on longer stays or you are staying up to Monday, please be sure to take the trash out to the curb. It is at the end of the alley way. Much appreciated.
