Built in 1867 , this beautiful piece of Frankfort's history has been fully restored! It offers magnificent views out the front door of the State Capital and awesome views of the Old Capital off of the side terrace. Located along the Bourbon Trail, it offers a short walk to BOM, local breweries, downtown coffee at Kentucky Coffee Tree, and all the shops of Broadway. The History Center is located within a 2 minute walk . The Kentucky Military Museum and State Capital is right out the front door Security system and full amenities await! Wifi . USB built in next to bed. The fireplace in the bedroom is NOT a usable fireplace. There are NO PETS ALLOWED. There is not a yard space or local dog park nearby. You will be sent information to get checked in once your booking is complete. Please be courteous and respect our NO SMOKING ON THE PREMISIS policy. Additional cleaning charges will occur for smoke removal if not adhered too. Full house , courtyard, deck and terrace. Basement not included. No Hot Tub access at this time due to Covid 19. Located in the historical district, the history of this Post Civil War Italianate Styled shotgun freestanding home is 1867 for the original foundation and part of the home, and 1872 for the rest of the home. Located along Main Street , you have walking access to the State Capital, St. Clair Mall Street with charming cobblestone, Paul Sawyer public library, Bourbon on Main(Highly suggested), The Old State Capital, numerous Museums, Buffalo Trace Distillery Tours(Short 4 minute drive), and many of Kentucky's "Kentucky Proud" shops and goods. Located along the Ky River, there is lots of canoeing and kyaking available locally! Come stay with us during the summer and enjoy the Friday night Music of downtown from the comfort of the terrace! Check out the local farmer's market seasonally within walking distance! So much to offer! Perfect for the history buff and Bourbon connoisseur! Walking trails along the riverwalk park. Walking distance ( 1-2 minutes) of the entire historical downtown. 30 sec walk to GoodWood Brewery and Bourbon on Main. Parking is on street parking for the house or in the public parking area right around the corner by the historical train station. Walking thru the entire downtown will lead you on a historical journey through Frankfort. Liberty Hall, Old State Capital, New Capital, historic homes, Paul Sawyier Public library, The Military museum and the History Center. Please be aware that the parking is on street historic downtown parking only on High Street right around the corner. (30 sec walk to house) The home is on the historic register from 1867. They didn't have cars then;) There is also parking available in the Historic train station Free Public lot right off of High street and Broadway. Entrance is on Ann St. ALL PARKING IS FREE. Please do not park in the dentist lot or in the small lot with the blue dumpster as they tow VERY QUICKLY! Also we have a no pets policy in order for to no yard area and no local dog park nearby. Please be respectful of the owners strict NO SMOKING ON THE PREMISIS. Additional cleaning charges may occur if not adhered too.
