Built 1945 and has stood strong through every hurricane since. It is an older home so don't expect like a new. Our guests love it. It is a good value and great location. Two bedroom one bath with kitchen, dining room, living room, front and back decks, charcoal, room for cars and boat trailers. Sorry no water access but there are first class free public ramps just down the road and a nice view of the water from the back deck. Yes we do have great wifi and roku, netflix and Amazon Prime and A/C. Harkers Island is home to Cape Lookout National Seashore Headquarters, and Ferry Ride to the greatest beaches anywhere, and or Shakelford banks where 100 wild horses live (look it up on the web) great views, restaurants, (Core Sound Museum also) The Bungalow is: Clean, air-conditioned, cozy, inexpensive, Island in the calm protected "Sound" waters, a ferry ride to the beach or Shakelford which is beautiful and cool too! There is a very small beach with calm water at the foot of the Harkers Island Bridge, but this is not an ocean beach, but part of the sound. The best beaches anywhere, are just a short ferry ride from the Island to Cape Lookout or Shakelford, a very nice ride on the water, just 20 min or so and inexpensive but a great part of the day. Kayaking, fishing, going over to the Cape or Shakelford, to the Park Headquarters trails on the Island, The Core Sound Museum, one of the three restaurants on the island or maybe getting a glimpse of some of the boat building from scratch with boats as big as 50 feet long built one stick of wood at a time. See many Harkers Island built boats, fishing boats etc. at the Harkers Island boat Harbor where active fishermen will sell you a fresh catch off the boat, shrimp or fish if you catch them as they dock the boat. Wifi & TV, Roku, Netflix, Amazon Prime Movies and TV Series and High Speed Internet all available at no extra cost. Property facts: This property is not "on the water" but a water view. Water access is available to the public many locations around the island. Lots of public places to launch boats, the best is the free launch at the other side of the bridge from the small beach.
