Gorgeous Artisan Cabin on a Small Private Lake

Come enjoy a peaceful getaway in a stunning hand-crafted cabin on a small private lake. The Little House is an easy drive from Atlanta, yet within a stone's throw of the North Georgia mountains. You will love this treasure in the pine woods! The Space: The Little House is a work of art, hand crafted with loving care by a master wood worker. The chalet-style home is beautifully accented with gingerbread, marquetry and hand-carved details. The rich wood interior includes a stunning spiral staircase that leads up to the loft-style bedroom. Guest Access: You will enjoy full private access to the cabin, and shared access to the grounds. The cabin includes an open main room and a lakeside deck, small full bathroom with a galley shower, and a small full kitchen. A spiral staircase takes you to the loft-style bedroom with a double-size mattress on the floor, and room for a cot or twin-size air mattress. There is a second loft with a twin-size mattress, however access is via a ladder and should only be attempted with caution. The cabin is situated on about 5 acres of woods, field and lake shore, and guests may enjoy shared access to all the outdoors has to offer. Interaction with Guests: We will greet you at some point, and are happy to chat or leave you in peace depending on your preferences. We have pets and children that you may encounter while enjoying the grounds, but the cabin can be your private refuge. Our separate home is on the property and we will be available at all times in case you need anything or have any questions. The Area: We are located in a beautiful rural location, but within easy driving distance of Atlanta and of the North Georgia mountains. For river enthusiasts, the Amicalola and Etowah rivers are nearby, and hikers will find great trails in the Dawson Forest and at Sawnee Mountain. Dawson Forest also offers mountain biking and horseback trails. Bicyclists will find a number of scenic road routes, and motorcyclists can be hitting the mountain twisties in no time! If shopping is more your speed, you might enjoy the outlet mall in Dawsonville. A short drive takes you to historic Dahlonega GA, with numerous attractions and shopping, gorgeous outdoor recreation, and some of Georgia's best wineries. Or, just relax at the cabin. You can canoe or kayak, observe wildlife, go fishing, play, take a jog or a stroll, or enjoy a campfire under the stars right here at your home away from home. Please note that this is a unique cabin, and though beautiful it has very limited accessibility for the mobility impaired. It also may not be suitable for some children.
