The Crab Shack | Waterfront w/Kayaks & Boat Slip

Built on a deep water canal in Jamaica Beach, The Crab Shack is a cozy A-frame with a delightfully retro vibe. There’s space for nine people across three bedrooms and a large deck that reaches out over the sparkling canal and provides tons of elevated outdoor space for lounging, dining, or fishing. A shaded space under the home has a charcoal grill, outdoor shower, swinging chair and two kayaks. The Crab Shack is a quick drive away from the beach, grocery stores, and west end restaurants. NOTE: Our cancellation policy will remain firm in all circumstances. Please ensure you are able to travel prior to booking, or purchase trip insurance to protect your trip investment. Community Amenities: Guests have access to the Jamaica Beach community pool (open Memorial Day thru Labor Day - $5 per person), and city park. The nearest boat launch is at Waterman's Marina in Pirates Beach for $10 per day. Beach Access: The Jamaica Beach access point is about a 2-minute drive away. Pet Policy: Up to 2 pets are welcome in our home with a $25 fee per pet. We ask that pets stay off all furniture, are cleaned up after in the yard, and aren't left alone inside the home unless in a crate or kennel. Must be 24+ to book. Other Things to Note: Please be sure you are able to safely use the spiral staircase prior to booking the property. The unique, bright blue A-frame facade is surrounded by a charming white picket fence. The open and airy living space has a stylish mid-century style— with polished wood floors and white shiplap walls. A comfy gray sectional sofa is piled high with plush throw pillows and faces the flatscreen television. Two contemporary armchairs add additional seating space. A full bathroom off the living space has a cabin-like vibe, with knotty pine walls, a clean white vanity, and a tub/shower combo. Bright Texas sunshine pours into the room from the glass French doors. Outside, a newly built deck space spans out over the boat deck and the canal below. Host a family dinner at the alfresco dining space, while a pastel pink sunset lights up the sky above you. In the afternoons, kick back out here with a cool drink while you work on your tan. A Vintage Kitchen and Three Bedrooms: The bright, clean kitchen has a vintage feel— yet with all the modern conveniences. Wooden glass-front cabinets are mounted onto palm frond wallpaper, while the large window over the sink allows the natural light in. Coffee lovers rejoice— this home has a traditional coffee maker and a French press. There’s seating for four people at the bar, and a formal dining table has seating for eight. Off the living area, a fun bunk room has a twin-over-twin bed and a queen-size bed. Up the spiral staircase, you’ll find two more bedrooms and a half bath. The first bedroom has a king-size bed draped in immaculate white linens, and access to a sun-drenched third-floor balcony overlooking the full deck below and the canal. The second bedroom has a queen-size bed and looks out over the quiet neighborhood. Bring Your Boat— And Your Fishing Gear: A covered boat dock makes the perfect spot for a leisurely afternoon of fishing— or launching kayaks into the canal. The barbeque area is shady and cool, and an outdoor shower is an absolute must after a day at the beach or pool. When it’s time to head out and explore, the Jamaica Beach access point and community pool are a short drive away. The Crab Shack is also conveniently located close to the west end restaurants and grocery stores. This super-charming, bohemian retreat is the perfect home base for a getaway to the Texas coast.
