Gorgeous Colonial House with an Oasis Backyard

**** Before renting our home, please note that quiet time starts at 11:00 pm and no parties are allowed. ***** You will see how much we love our home when you see the attention we put into its decor and its comfort. Plus its location is the perfect combination of city living without the craziness of downtown. The space An open concept main floor: - Living room: 75 in TV , comfortable corner sofa, two leather chairs, wood burning fireplace. - Dining room: Dining table for 6 people, bay window bench. - A half bathroom (powder room) - Kitchen: Peninsula layout countertop, coffee station, double door refrigerator, pantry closet, double door oven. - Laundry closet: Front load washer and dryer. - Door to our private backyard oasis. The second floor has 2 bedrooms and 1 full bathroom: - Bedroom one has a king size bed, dresser and desk. - Bedroom two has a queen size bed and a dresser. - Bathroom in this floor is a full bathroom with a bathtub. There is a basement apartment with separate private entrance. Thi is not part of this listing and is where we stay if we have guests staying at our house. Guest access: Living room, dining room, kitchen, backyard patio, first floor half bathroom, laundry, two bedrooms on second floor, second floor full bathroom. The closets in each bedroom are locked since it contains our personal items. Guest will find a dresser in each bedroom as well as a wall mounted coat rack with hanger. Getting Around It's easy to get anywhere in the city from our home. There are many options to get around: - Metro's Green Line is a quick 10 minutes walk. - Many bus lines within 2 blocks. - Bikeshare station close by. - Uber, Car2Go, Bridj, are our prefer ways to get places since they are quick and inexpensive alternatives . Parking There is not private parking but parking is free on the street. Our street doesn't require a residential permit for parking unlike the rest of the city. We never have an issue finding parking within a block of the house if not right in front of the house. What have guests said about our home? “This house is so amazing!!! This house was exactly as the photos in the listing had portrayed, with a clean and an impeccably tasteful and gorgeous decor that appears professionally done. It is so beautifully designed that it appears as if it’s out of a magazine! This house was so stylish and well-planned that I took home ideas for decoration and design improvements of my own house. But not only is this house pretty, it is also quite comfortable, with cushiony couches and good-sized chairs, large tables, and nice beds too, and with plenty of room to spread out. The kitchen is large and well-equipped, with a large peninsula with which to gather around and cook together. The backyard is truly an oasis and exhibits such charm with all of the well-maintained and manicured potted plants and flowers, and awesome huge central (?magnolia) tree to provide some shade, and with its pretty white lights for the evening...I was just in love with it! The outdoor furniture provides comfortable seating options and the grill is large. The owners literally thought of everything! The hosts/owners of this house were extremely helpful, kind, and understanding of all of my needs, and really went out of their way to assure we were welcomed and happy with the house and our entire experience! The house is very well-appointed and everything you will need (and more) is there. This house and it’s owner really made all of the difference in my trip experience!!! I will definitely be returning to stay at this house in the near future, as will my other family members.”
