Stunning Lakehouse Vacation Home outside D.C.

THE SPACE This spacious, airy, lakefront home is located conveniently outside of Washington D.C. and close to Historic Herndon, Reston Town Center, just minutes from Dulles International Airport (IAD). The home includes a hot tub overlooking the lake, outdoor fire pit, canoe, fishing dock, indoor wood burning fireplace, yoga studio and weight room, game room, and a media room with 70" 3D TV. Easy metro access via bus stop on the street or a quick 10 minute drive to Wiehle Metro Station in Reston. The homeowners recently fully renovated and refurnished the home prior to moving to Europe for business. They incorporated a modern bohemian style with an open floor plan, perfect for families or groups looking for a relaxing escape. In warm weather months, relax in the hammock after grilling out on the deck overlooking the lake, or spend an evening in the hot tub before coming inside to enjoy a crackling fire during the winter! The home has private 5 rooms that can be used as bedrooms. 3 dedicated bedrooms, then the office which doubles as a bedroom when you convert the couch to a futon bed, and finally a media room which has a queen size air bed available if you need the extra bed. OTHER THINGS TO NOTE Before you arrive, you will receive a digital house manual and an access code for the front door. A hard copy of the house manual is also located in the home when you arrive. Being situated in a wooded area on a lake, sometimes the deer, foxes, and squirrels will come say hi! We've been unsuccessful at hand feeding as of yet, but it's always fun to give them a wave when they come around ( : THE NEIGHBORHOOD Even though we're only minutes from Dulles International Airport (don't worry, we're not so close that you hear the planes), our neighborhood is cozy and quiet, and gives you the feeling that you're well out of the city space. We have a great group of neighbors, but they generally keep to themselves. Drive out to the main road, though, and you'll find yourself minutes from amazing restaurants, historic sites, and tourist highlights such as the Air & Space Museum. For families, we're blocks from Frying Pan Farm Park, where kids can view a host of animals, see how a 1930s farm would run, and possibly watch an equestrian event! And finally, for city-goers, if you don't feel like driving out to the city, a 10 minute ride to Wiehle Metro Station opens you up to Tyson's Corner, D.C., and the entire Washington Metro Area without the hassle of D.C. traffic.
