This is an adorable cape with Maine style. It is walking distance from downtown Bangor where there are many shops and restaurants for your enjoyment. There is a lovely park just a 500 feet from the house that has a jungle gym and plenty of room for frolicking or picnicking. The home is cozy with an inviting fireplace in the living room. There are books about Maine, games, movies, internet (with wi-fi) and a flat screen tv. Both the couch and the chair recline. On the shelves and wall are items that you may see while visiting in Maine. A blueberry rake, wasp nest (don't worry no wasps still live in there), Moxie bottles, license plates and many other items found in Maine. In the dining room is a, native to Maine, stacked wood accent wall. The dining room table seats 6 comfortably. The front enclosed porch has two comfortable rocking chairs. Upstairs in the master bedroom you can nestle yourself in a room surrounded by Maine birch trees. The oars over the bed are antiques from Old Town Canoe. The master bedroom features 2 closets and a dresser. The second bedroom has a twin over full bunk bed as well as a single twin bed. It has a dresser and mirror and extra storage under the twin bed as well as shelves in the closest. There is a full bathroom right off the 2nd bedroom. Both bedrooms now have air conditioning in the summer months. We've also added a fire pit where you can roast marshmallows and make s'mores. We do not provide the wood, but you can purchase it at any local grocery store. There is a curved shower curtain rod for extra room in the shower. We provide towels, wash cloths, hand towels, shampoo, body wash, conditioner, toilet paper, an iron and a hairdryer. When you walk up or down the stairs you can view the Lighthouses of Maine from one of our local photographers. The kitchen is cozy with all the essentials you need for cooking. There are pots & pans, utensils, coffee maker, toaster, dishwasher, stove, microwave &refrigerator . We provide you with coffee, tea, creamer, oatmeal packets, muffins, sugar, hot cocoa, vinegar & oil. The houses' finishing touches were done with antiques found in and around Maine, as well as items from local photographers and artists. This year we've added the Maine Park Pass for guest to use. This will allow everyone in your vehicle up to 17 passengers to enter a Maine State Park for Free. Please note: There is a $200 fee for non-return or lost pass. Please read the guest handbook provided at the house. It gives instructions for your stay, a check out list and suggestions of things to do in the area. If there is anything else you need, please do not hesitate to contact us. We want to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable.
