Kickback Creek offers a modern twist on a mountain cabin. This spacious two bedroom, two bath home offers upscale accommodations at a reasonable price for your next mountain retreat. The spacious living area features a unique pallet wood wall and flat screen TV with cable reception, and colorful artwork from various local and regional artists. The comfy sofa and chairs offer plenty of places for curling up with a good book or watching a movie. There is also high speed WIFI for those that need to stay in touch with work or to plan your daily adventures. Just off the living area is a newly renovated kitchen with stainless appliances including gas range, dishwasher, and refrigerator. There is even a K-cup coffee maker for those that like specialty coffees. Down the hall, you will find the master suite with queen bed and spacious bath. The ceiling of the bedroom has pallet wood covering adding to the cabin ambiance. Relax and enjoy cable TV from the comfy bed. The private master bathroom features a spacious vanity and a shower tub combo. The second bedroom features two twin beds – perfect for singles or kids. A flat screen TV with cable is also offered in this bedroom as well. The hall bath is just a few short steps away from the second bedroom and offers a shower/tub combo as well. Step outside and you will find a charcoal grill for grilling out, and there’s even a fire pit at the creek for making s’mores or roasting hot dogs. Kickback Creek is just a short drive from downtown West Jefferson where you will find all kinds of food in our restaurants, quaint shops, art galleries and the famous Ashe County Cheese Store and factory when you can watch cheese be made. For the adventurous, try hiking, fishing or canoeing the New River. Or, spend the day at Tweetsie Railroad and Grandfather Mountain, Linville Falls, and go gem mining in Foscoe. Perhaps you want to shop at the historic Mast General Store and Annex in Valle Crucis.
