Covid-19 update: Due to the Covid-19 situation, we are asking our guests to bring their own bedding and pillows to ensure the safety of our guests. Thank you for your understanding. Moose cabin is a rustic log cabin with a kitchen with a water cooler to be filled from outdoor spigot, a dining area, a bedroom with a queen size bed and two twin beds in an enclosed sleeping porch and a nearby bathhouse with hot showers, lavatory sinks, and latrine toilets. Lake Amnstrong is west of the cabins and therefore offers nightly sunset viewing at lakeside seating with a firepit for bonfires. Canoes and kayaks are available for use on the lake. A gravel swim beach near the ample lakeside seating provides fun family gathering. Nearby attractions include Wolf and Bear Centers, a mining museum, day canoe trips in the Boundary Waters, hiking or biking on nearby Mesabi Trail, and shopping for gear, apparel or local art in Ely.
