Yippee ki-YAAAY! Blanco, TX | Riverfront Glampground | Nightly Rental | 18 Acres | Sleeps 16 Wishing you could go back to summer camp? Or maybe you're a little too old now and really enjoy A/C? If exploring 18 acres of a former 1940's Girl Scout camp while yelling out, "yeehaw" mid-cannonball into a historic TX river is on your bucket list, Camp Blanco will help you check it off. From girl scouts to glamp outs, Camp Blanco is rooted in the history of its land and has been updated for a new generation of campers. Those who seek connection with the beauty and essence of the Texas hill country landscape, while also connecting with friends and family. Oh and s'mores. Set amongst towering pecan and oak trees along 600 feet of the Blanco River, sits The Ranger, The Brownie, The Kookaburra, The Daisy, and The Tagalongs! The Ranger stone house once served as the Camp Blanco Lodge and welcomes you with exterior and interior natural stone that makes you feel at one with nature. The home features a beautiful living room with massive fireplace, lounge area, 2-bedrooms, 1.5 baths, open kitchen and an inviting front porch where you can learn a G-chord or look for wild turkey. (The animal kind silly! The bar is inside.) The Brownie bunkhouse sits directly next to the Ranger and is newly outfitted with 2 full-size bunks and twin trundles underneath. Don't forget to call “Top Bunk!” if that's your thing. There is a kitchenette, living, and dining space that's perfect for kids and guests who need a little extra space. The Kookaburra game room is really more than a room, because it's actually a 3-car garage that has been decked out with every game imaginable: pool table, poker table, shuffleboard, foosball, and an 82" TV for movies and more. The Daisy guest house was where Camp Blanco admin would do admin-y stuff with calculators and paperwork and now it's WAY more fun as a vintage guest house. Featuring 2 bedrooms, 1 bath, a fireplace, and a 2 car carport, this is a great place to spread out your cabin mates comfortably. The Tagalongs luxury tents are pretty much the coolest things ever and you'll definitely have to draw straws over who gets to sleep in #1 and #2. Each canvas yurt-style tent is 16' wide and sits near The Do-si-do, which is the original and revived "Girls" and "Boys" bathhouse. Separation can be a beautiful thing y'all. Take the road or trail below Red Bluff where you'll be greeted by your own private grass land that is like having an entire park to yourself and leads to 600 feet of Blanco river frontage. The Outdoor Pavilion is ready for your friendship-bracelet-making or campfire songs you can belt out around the fireplace inside this unique waterfront open-air structure. Stash your river toys here for easy access to your water fun! This idyllic setting that once served The Girl Scouts and has now been revived and reimagined is ready for you to make your own memories. Come explore the peaceful and private historic 18 acres of Camp Blanco and don't forget to write home while you're there.
