Come enjoy the North Georgia Mountains! Whether you're visiting the North Georgia mountains for a wedding, winery tours, one of our many festivals, admiring the fall leaves, a college graduation, a family vacation, or in hopes of striking it rich while panning for gold, we're certain that our home will be a place of rest and relaxation during your stay. ***No Pets Allowed*** The home is nestled between the two quaint towns of Dahlonega and Helen. Dahlongea sits at the southern terminus of the Appalachian Trail on Springer Mountain in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. It was the site of the first major U.S. gold rush in 1828, 20 years before the California gold rush. Helen is the Bavarian Alps replica town nestled in the Appalachian mountains. This area was once home to the mighty Cherokee. When settled by Europeans in the 1800's it also became the site of the first U.S. gold rush. Then later became the little German town it is today. When you come in late June through July, enjoy the experience of picking blueberries from our bushes, and make muffins, a pie, lots of possibilities with the berries! Come during late September through the end of October to not only enjoy the changing leaves, but also experience the Oktoberfest and Gold Rush Day celebrations! Our home is also an excellent place of respite for the adventurer! There are private nature trails on the property, countless public hiking trails, excellent roads for mountain biking, exceptional trout fishing waters, and more waterfalls than you can see on one trip. Fun for the whole family too, with a waterpark, zip line adventures, horseback riding, river tubing, mini-golf, gold & gem mining, award-winning vineyards, a local brewery, unique shops, Amish bakeries, antiquing, great local & German cuisine, and much more! Our mountain home was built in 2005. It has 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a kitchen, and dining area. When you're ready to relax after a long day of exploring all the area has to offer, sit awhile on the large back patio, listen and see all nature has to offer, sit under the stars, or make s'mores at the fire pit.
