Enjoy the best the Blue Ridge mountains have to offer by hiking to Linville Falls or exploring the Linville Gorge, cruising the Blue Ridge Parkway, or enjoying nature from the front porch. Located < 1 mile from the Parkway, 1 hour from Asheville with its amazing food scene, 40 minutes from Boone, ASU, and Blowing Rock, and 30 minutes from a few snow ski resorts. Your adventure awaits! This peaceful and private home includes a large yard, wide covered porch, and plenty of comfortable interior space as well. Your stay includes the entire home and large lawn. The home interior is recently redecorated in calm tones to help you relax. With 3 bedrooms (each having a queen bed) as well as the queen size sofa bed in the living room, it easily accommodates up to 8 guests. The bedrooms include a master bedroom with en suite bathroom and the other 2 bedrooms share a full bathroom. A fully and thoughtfully equipped kitchen is perfect for making family meals. Or, if you prefer, enjoying take out from the local restaurants in the dining room or out on the porch overlooking the large private lawn. There are mountain views in the winter time and we're working on that view for the summer too! Inside, we have board and card games, a nice selection of books, and even a few basic toys for the little ones. Internet service is very good, allowing you to stream movies or your favorite shows through the TV or your own device both indoors and out on the porch. The large yard is perfect for children and adults alike. Bring your soccer ball or enjoy the yard games available for you at the house. We've recently added a new fire pit and adirondack chairs, so bring your marshmallows and grab the roasting sticks from the kitchen! Firewood is provided. Guests are also welcome to take a stroll down the quiet road to visit the outdoor sculpture gallery at the entrance. In any season, Doe Hill invites you to curl up with a good book, enjoy the many indoor and outdoor games, relax on the porch, or head out for a glass of wine at Linville Falls Winery a short walk (or drive) away. Explore the wide range of activities and beautiful scenery of the NC mountains, knowing you have a great place to land at the end of the day. And while you're at it, say hello to the the turkeys, deer, and other friendly wildlife as they take their evening strolls.
