What's nearby: The center of Alburg is just three miles away and is where you will find shops, grocery stores, a library, and more necessities you may find yourself needing. A five-mile drive south will bring you to Alburg Dunes State Park. This park sits along the shores of Lake Champlain, hosts one of the lake's largest beaches, and is named for the sand dunes near the center and western end of the beach. Walking trails and scenic picnic sites can be found at North Hero State Park, less than nine miles from the home. Just eight miles east is Missisquoi National Wildlife Refuge, boasting acres of wetlands and trails for hunting and wildlife viewing.
