This hillside mountain-view space features a comfortable, secluded 3-room guest suite opening out to a private covered terrace showcasing unmatched views of the Adirondack Peaks. A space ideal for hikers and outdoor enthusiasts, or just those looking to have a quiet getaway in the mountains - there’s something for everyone. The guest suite is located off of the main house, accessible through a private, separate entrance. It features a bedroom, bathroom, and a living room with an adjoining kitchenette. All areas are private and not shared with the main house. Feel free to explore our 25-acre property - a mix of fields, forest, gardens and ponds. In the winter, we provide free snowshoes and poles for those looking to explore, and in the summer, you can walk right down to the river for a private swim. The Mountain View suite has been furnished for comfort for those looking to lay low, including an adjustable queen-size bed, a wood-burning fireplace, a reading nook, and a smart-TV with Roku and DVD player. Additionally, the bathroom includes a large cast-iron bathtub with complimentary bath salts. While there is currently no shower available, many guests have found the requisite bath-time to be a highlight of their stay. The kitchenette is equipped with a sink, mini-fridge with freezer compartment, 2 burner stovetop, a Bella 90060 large convection toaster oven with baking and broiling capabilities, along with pots, pans, and other basic kitchenware. Spending time on the terrace is a guest favorite - there is an additional dining table, as well as two armchairs for sitting and taking in the view. You'll also find a provided grill for use in the warmer months as well as a year-round smokeless firepit for outdoor fires. The fire pit can also be used for cooking, with an adjustable cast-iron skillet that can sit over the fire. Up to two pets are welcome, it is asked that if your pets are going to be left alone for any length of time in the space that they be crated. Notes: - For those arriving between November and March - it's highly recommended to bring a vehicle with AWD/4x4 or snow tires in order to get up the driveway in the winter weather. - The space sleeps three adults comfortably. If you are with a larger group, you could consider renting our other listed space, the ADK Retreat, in addition to this space. The ADK Retreat is located on the same property about 30 yards away - There is no air-conditioning, however the space stays remarkably cool during the summer months due to it's location. - Laundry is available at the main house once per week for those staying 7 nights or longer. - Guests are not permitted to receive mail or packages at this address, regardless of length of stay.
