This bright and cheerful A-Frame cottage is perfectly located for exploring the coastline or enjoying the beautiful sandy beach which is located within walking distance (approximately 3/4 of a mile). A Shore Thing is located in the lovely Giants Neck Heights beach association. The cottage is walking distance (appx 3/4 of a mile) to the beautiful sandy beach - the walk to the beach is downhill and uphill to return home. Giants Neck Heights Private beach: 3/4 mile Niantic Village: 3 miles Essex: 12 miles Mystic: 20 miles Mohegan Sun Casino: 18 miles Westbrook Outlets: 11 miles You can enter Rocky Neck State Park from the same entryway as Giants Neck Heights private beach. Rocky Neck offers 7 miles of diverse walking trails, fishing and picnic areas. INDOOR LIVING: Bedroom: 1 Queen Bed in loft area master bedroom. Sleeping options for additional guests: Pull out sofa bed. Note: main bedroom is upstairs and bathroom is on the first floor. Living Room & Kitchen: Spacious, remodeled living room with cathedral ceiling and skylight which opens to a bright and sunny kitchen and updated bathroom with double sinks and washer/dryer combination. The bathroom offers a shower (no tub). Kitchen is well equipped - stainless steel appliances, pots and pans, coffee maker, microwave, dishware and flatware. OUTDOOR LIVING: Hang out and relax on the sunny front deck. Gather around the fire pit in the back yard. The backyard also has an outdoor shower, hammock and grill. The beach community offers a community playground with basketball and tennis court, playscape and bocce lanes. This is a great area to kayak & enjoy walks along the coastline.  There is also a boat launch. It is shallow at low tide, and skiffs will need to return by about mid-tide. Kayaks can get in at any low tide except around king tides. For anytime boat access there is 4 Mile River Boat Launch which is 3.3 miles away, or Niantic Bay Boat Launch which is 5.1 miles away. GENERAL: The cottage has a washer/dryer combination for use during your stay. Parking pass and beach turnaround pass for the private beach are included. Entire house We live approximately 20 minutes from the house and will be available for any assistance you need during your stay. Quaint & quiet private beach community. The neighborhood is hilly with the house location elevated from the beach area. Walk to the beach is downhill and walk back will be uphill. The private beach community offers a playground, tennis courts and access to a beautiful private beach. The beach is adjacent to Rocky Neck State Park which has access to walking and biking trails. It is suggested that you have a car to get around when staying at the cottage.
