Tranquility Gate House is part of a 9.5 acre estate with access to 1000 feet of shore front and private deep water dock on Frenchman's Bay just 5 minutes from downtown Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. Go beach combing on our 2 private rocky Maine beaches with views across the bay to Schoodic mountain and Bar Harbor, or stroll one of the many nature paths along the shore through the gardens and around 2 ponds. There's also bocce and a croquet court and large open lawns for your outdoor activities. Spend your afternoons and evenings on the new, large deck overlooking the sweeping lawn and gardens with peekaboo views of the Bay. The deck has a big table for outdoor family dining and comfortable chairs and lounges to relax on throughout the day. There is also a separate screened in patio to relax in with cozy reading chairs and a couch. The Gate House is one of two cottages available on the Tranquility Estate with room to sleep seven and a playroom to accommodate children - 4 bedrooms, 3 full baths, 1 powder room, sleeps 7 with plenty of extra room for kids on futons. On the second floor is the king sized master bedroom with a pull-out couch and ensuite, and two queen sized bedrooms that share a full bathroom across the hall.
