VERY SECLUDED & PRIVATE, CLOSE TO ALL AMENITIES This charming vacation home is situated all on its own peninsula on the shores of Lake Windermere & the Columbia River. The spacious interior has 1 bathroom and 2 bedrooms which sleeps 5 comfortably. The master bedroom has a luxurious queen bed with a large closet along with a spectacular view of the Columbia Wetlands. As well a cozy stone nook with a sitting area to enjoy that favorite book or to view the wildlife passing by your window. The second bedroom has a bunk bed with a double on the bottom and a single on top for a relaxing night's sleep. A private dock stretches off a large deck, providing spectacular views of the bird sanctuary that is the world-renowned Columbia Wetlands. The valley is nestled between the Rocky and Purcell Mountains in a natural setting away from the bustle of everyday life, but still within a 5 minute walk to all amenities. Soak up tranquil, picturesque holiday air amid the soothing sights and sounds of songbirds and wildlife. There is a washer, dryer, fridge, stove, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, coffeemaker, coffee grinder, kettle, blender and all cooking and eating utensils with towels and bedding. The front room has seating comfortable for up to 6 people along with a cozy wood stove with plenty of games, smart TV, Netflix & wifi. There is a BBQ off the side deck with a fire pit out front. We have a bin of wood complimentary for guest use, and an extra supply for a small fee if more is needed. Summer activities include bird watching, fishing, paddling, swimming or boating--RIGHT OUT YOUR FRONT DOOR! There is also a friendly public beach just across the way. Nearby is access to many trails for mountain biking,& hiking. For golfers, Invermere hosts the best rated golf courses in BC; whether pro or family fun, there are many to choose from. After a hard day of playing, indulge yourself in either of the two natural mineral hotsprings that are year around. In the winter months, Lake Windermere boasts the longest skating path in the world along with groomed cross country & snowshoe trails. We have world class ski resorts that offer breath taking views, & outstanding terrain. Unload your canoe or kayak at your front door or drop your boat at the launch at the end of the driveway. Moore your water toys at your private dock for easy convenience. We do have a canoe available along with two single kayaks for one time fee. Please request at the time of booking.
