Hacienda del Mar is a luxurious, 5 bedroom (NOW 6, all with en-suite bathrooms), wheelchair accessible beachfront villa in the heart of Los Barriles, located on the Sea of Cortez. Hacienda del Mar sleeps 10-20, and is perfect for family and friends to come together to relax, explore the beach, fish, kite board, windsurf, kayak or stand-up paddle board (SUP). Hacienda del Mar is about an hour north east of San Jose del Cabo airport, making a perfect get away from the Cabo crowds. Sit outside on the patio with a cold drink watching whales, Dolphins and manta-rays that jump out of the water and flop back down. If the wind is up, watch the kite boarders and windsurfers that launch right in front of the house. The outside area offers multiple places to hang-out including your own private Palapa bar overlooking the beach and Sea of Cortez. The house also offers a huge outdoor Palapa room with a 90' built-in couch, dinning tables and chairs, a wet-bar (a sink, stove and refrigerator) area with bar stools where you can sit back, read a book, eat, play games and still see everything going on at the beach and on the water. Move chairs to the interior courtyard and be soothed by the water fountain and watch the birds as they come in for a drink. The Sea of Cortez is east facing, making for amazing sunrises. In the back, through the courtyard, the sunsets over the Sierra la Laguna Mountains are just as spectacular. Looking for the right spot for your wedding on the beach? Look no further -- you and your guests will have plenty of room to enjoy your special day! Move the tables out of the Palapa room (approximately 1,500 square feet) and you have an instant dance floor! The inside of the villa is just a spacious as the outside. The non-smoking Hacienda del Mar, has 5 suites. The Master with a King bed overlooking the Sea of Cortez, has a walk-in closet and a sliding glass/screen door to get out to the patio; a second master suite is off the amazing fountain courtyard with 2 Queen beds, walk-in closet and a glass/screen door to get out to the courtyard. The remaining two spacious suites, boast California King beds, each with double sided closets. Each of the bedrooms has an in-suite bathroom, ceiling fans, and mini-split air conditioners. Last year I added the attached "Studio" guest suite. 2 queen beds, a queen sleeper sofa and a huge bathroom with a 3rd roll-in shower, and a theater room. Hacienda del Mar's Great Room combines 3 rooms into one, the kitchen, a living room area with a large flat screen TV and a dining room (separated from the other two areas by an arched wall). The large kitchen island has seating for 6 with a built-in stove/oven separate from the 2nd 30" builtin wall oven. There is every cooking appliance you could ever need including microwave, coffee maker, toaster, blender, food processor, to name a few. All sitting areas in the kitchen provide a perfect place to talk, eat, play games, or watch TV. The sitting area has couches, chairs and a love seat with TV and blue ray smart blue tooth DVD player. The Great Room looks out over the Sea of Cortez so you see everything going on in the water. It also has 3 sliding glass/screen doors to get to the outside areas. The Great Room is perfect for getting everyone together to prepare meals, sit back and talk, plan your fun day at the beach or where to go exploring in the local canyons or just relaxing after a fun day in and around Los Barriles. Hacienda del Mar also has WiFi and local land line . While you are at Hacienda del Mar, there is no need for a car, you are in walking distance to restaurants, bars and local shopping experiences. Rent ATV’s or quads, mountain bikes, or to explore farther, rent a car for the day (just let me know and we can either arrange for you to use what we have or get you the contact information to rent from an outside agency). If you want to take a boat to fish or whale watch, our guests also get first reservation rights and a 10% discount aboard the NEW 42', wheelchair accessible, sport fishing yacht "Reel Easy" or our other 2 sport fishers.
