Our cleaners will use PPE for their protection and will use antimicrobial cleaners to clean surfaces With particular attention to things people could have touched including handrails, handles, switches as well as the bathroom and kitchen. Sprays will be used on fabrics. If you fall ill during your stay or within 7 days of leaving please advise us immediately. Close to Hawkshead village and near the market town of Ambleside, this characterful and charming cottage offers the perfect setting for exploring The Lake District National Park, famous for its stunning scenery, abundant wildlife and cultural heritage. A short distance from the Langdale and Furness Fells, and not far from the Helvellyn range, it is a perfect setting for outdoor activities including hiking, climbing and mountain biking, water sports - including sailing, windsurfing and canoeing on Lake Windermere or Coniston - or golf, with several excellent courses nearby. The nearby towns of Ambleside, Windermere and Keswick are great for shopping and are packed with museums and art galleries as well as other attractions such as the Lake District National Park Visitors Centre in Windermere. With comfortable modern furnishings, and underfloor heating providing extra comfort in the winter, The Granary is the perfect venue for many a happy holiday in any season. New for 2022: all walls were re-painted at the beginning of the year, with new blinds to one bedroom, new shower fittings installed. Before Christmas all internal woodwork will be repainted.
