Villa Suisse is a villa rental on Lake Como that dates back to the beginning of the century and still belongs to the noble Swiss family that came on holiday here, fell in love with the area and decided to build their dream Lake Como luxury villa. The owners tastefully furnished and embellished their home, retaining many of its original characteristics and balancing them harmoniously with modern comforts. Fine tapestries and fabrics, floors made from fine wood with geometric inlays, beautiful paintings on the walls, and family period furnishing are combined with a modern and fully equipped kitchen, WIFI Internet connection, Plasma TV with satellite, and much more. The villa looks directly onto the lake and is set in a beautiful garden. Its location, (a few kilometres from Cernobbio and only seven km from the center of Como, plus easy access to ferries and buses), makes Villa Suisse an ideal destination for both those seeking a vacation destination and those on business.Villa Suisse\'s large terrace (70 sqm) opens directly on the lake and provides a delightful venue where you can relax, enjoy the view, or sunbathe in full privacy. If you prefer swimming, lake access is just a few meters away. Or you can use the private heated pool which will be completed by the end of April 2014. From the villa\'s private dock, guests can use a rental boat or water-taxi to visit the charming villages of Lake Como, Menaggio Bellagio, and Tremezzo. 2 motor boats are available for guests to use. On the ground floor is the elegant, marble entrance leading to a spacious dining room with a fireplace and French doors opening out to the panoramic terrace. The double living room offers comfortable sofas, period furniture, a plasma TV with Satellite, and French doors opening onto the terrace, offering a beautiful lake view. The well-equipped kitchen includes a five-burner stove, fridge with ice maker, dishwasher, oven, microwave, and espresso machine. Also on this floor is a bathroom with shower. The villa is fully air conditioned.The section of the Lake that extends from Como to Tremezzo is a sophisticated resort, where there are no isolated or rural areas. One visits for the scenery, the luxury shopping, and the incredible views from the stylish restaurants and cafés. Ancient villages and enchanting gardens are the setting for the historical villas of the Lombardy aristocracy, which dot the coastline like jewels in a crown. The best way to enjoy the views of these magnificent, aristocratic villas and their gardens is by boat, and this can easily be done by taxi boat from the private dock of the villa, or by the pier of the Navigazione dei Laghi ferries located at 400 meters.
