The charm of a large house converted into an old barn
The house is located at the entrance of the Bauges massif 15 km from Chambéry and near the Aillons Margeriaz ski resort. THE GITE The house is set in an old barn around a large living room of 50 m2 including the living room, kitchen and dining room. At the same level you reach a bedroom and a bathroom with WC. On the floor are grouped three rooms. Two parts in mezzanine giving on the stay are organized in corner games for the children. There is also a bathroom with WC. The house is located opposite a large orchard of plum trees and apple trees. This large plot of 1500m2 sloping (not vis-à-vis) allows when the snow is present to go sledding and summer mountain biking. The terrace of the house facing it is the ideal place to organize barbecues and lunch on the wooden picnic table. The house turns its back on the road for more peace and the path allows to park two cars. The cottage is ideal for one or two families with children (we leave at disposal 2 beds umbrella, many games for adults and children of all ages). It is also ideal for a group of friends who want to gather for parties, go skiing, or go hiking. ACTIVITIES You have the opportunity to do many activities of all kinds: In summer, you can make beautiful hiking or biking, organize equestrian excursions, mountain biking, tree climbing with a zip line and via ferrata, caving, fishing parties, etc. You can also go for a swim at the Les Aillons swimming pool, the Lescheraines leisure center or the Mottets at Le Bourget du Lac or the La Thuile mountain lake. In winter, you can go downhill skiing and cross-country skiing, dog sledding, snowshoeing, etc. In all seasons, you can go for a relaxing break at the thermal baths of Challes-les-eaux or Aix-les-Bains with the benefits of spas, massages and other relaxing activities. Small curious will be full of discoveries at the educational farm Aillons and the station of the stars of St-Francois-de-Sales among others. The tourist office also offers a program of many varied activities. The region is ideal for buying and tasting delicious products from the surrounding farms: cheese, assorted meats, honey, and Savoie wines. FACILITIES The nearest shops are 4.5 km with a bakery, a small grocery store, a pharmacy and the post office of St-Jean-d'Arvey. GPs are also present. Large shops (major retailers or local supermarkets) are accessible at 14km. THE HOUSE The accommodation comprises 6 rooms with 4 bedrooms including 9 beds: On the ground floor: - A large dining-kitchen area open to a double height living room for a total surface of 50 m2. - 1 bedroom with a large closet on the ground floor Upstairs : - 1 bedroom with a double bed and a large wardrobe. - 1 bedroom with a double bed and a dresser and a clothes rack. - 1 bedroom with 2 bunk beds and 1 other single bed with a small dresser and a large closet-closet accessible from the hallway. 2 additional beds are available if needed with a sofa bed for 2 people in the living room. 1 bathroom with WC on the floor 1 bathroom with toilet on ground floor where is also the washing machine. In outdoor areas: - Overlooking the dining-room, a terrace facing a large plot with mountain views. - Overlooking the living room, a balcony under a large roof overhang. - Facing the house, a large orchard of 1500m2. FOR KIDS Are made available - 2 umbrella beds, a high chair and a pot. - many board games, - educational games for the little ones, - library. FACILITIES AVAILABLE 1 TV set with DVD and VHS (a video library is also available) Washing machine and dishwasher. Electric hob, electric oven and microwave. Fridge with freezer compartment. Classic coffee maker and Italian coffee maker. Toaster, kettle, pressure cooker. Raclette machine. A hair dryer. BBQ, picnic table with benches and garden chairs SUPPLEMENTS Linens, sheets, duvet covers, towels at extra charge on request. Sheet 5 € per bed, towels 3 € per person.
